Dedicated to Carlton, the fictional character whose work was sadly taken advantage of.

Don't forget to start your Three States of Matter project after school today! It is due in two weeks.
Will saw this on the board when he walked into his dreaded science class. "Are you kidding me?!? Another project?!? Just when science was getting to be less annoying..." he muttered under his breath. Science was Will's self-proclaimed mortal enemy. Projects were even worse. I have things to do after school, he thought. Soccer practice and gaming with Carlton are way more fun than extra work! Why would I want to do that dumb project? Will thought his teachers must be obsessed with torturing innocent children if they kept adding projects to his busy schedule.

As Will walked along the path leading up to his house, still in a bad mood and grumbling about the project, he suddenly got an idea. He could ask his brother Carlton for help! Carlton was Will's favorite brother, partly because he was so cool, and partly because their only other brother was 4 and did nothing but sit around and watch Barney, whine, and take Will's stuff from his room. Anyway, Will decided to ask Carlton for help.

Will rushed into Carlton's room, excited. He was sure that with Carlton's help, he could breeze through the project. "Hey, Will! How was your day? Carlton asked Will as he took out his earbuds. "Good! I have a science project, and I was wondering if you could help me with it since you were in Ms. Sullivan's class too." Will shared. Carlton glanced at the clock. "Which project is it?" Will explained the project, and Carlton's face lit up in recognition. "Yep, I remember that one. But, it was a long project, and I have somewhere to be in 3 minutes. Hmm." He thought for a moment. "Okay, I'll tell you what. You can look at my project as an example, since I can't help you myself. It's still saved on the computer. Good luck!" And with that, Carlton rushed out the door.

Will walked into the living room to find Carlton's project on the family computer. He found and opened the file, and became discouraged all over again. Carlton's work was so organized, informative, and well done overall. How could Will ever write something this amazing? He sighed. But just then, he got an idea. A wonderful idea. But...it could get Will in trouble. And he knew deep down it wasn't right. But it was worth it to Will to get a good grade, and to save time that he could use for baseball with his friends. So Will put his name on Carlton's project and printed it out.
