Dedicated to the First Amendment

Once upon a time, on a green sunny farm there lived a farmer. “Joe the Farmer” is what all his farmer friends called Joe the Farmer. Joe the Farmer was the richest farmer in Greentown.

And on Joe the Farmer's Farm lived his farm animals. They produced the best farm products in all of Greentown. On Saturdays, the line to buy his farms's products stretched miles. He sold the best milk, wool, and eggs in all of the town. Everybody loved them.

Take our money!

HAHAHA (evil laugh)
Because everyone bought his products, Joe the Farmer became very rich. Although they loved his products, Joe the Farmer's buyers did not know hoe he treated his animals.
Joe the Farmer's farm looked pretty from the outside, but on the inside his animals were unhappy. They barely got fed and were rarely let outside. On top of all that, Joe the Farmer always said mean things.

no food!
One day the animals all got together and hatched a plan to protest their treatment. They were fed up with Joe the Farmer, and felt they should be treated better since they were the ones making Joe the Farmer rich.

One Saturday, when Joe the Farmer was selling his product, the animals took action. They put all their eggs, wool, and milk into a wagon and wheeled it into the center of Greentown.

They lit the wagon on fire in protest for all the townspeople to see. Joe the farmer was furious! For nearly 200 years his family's hard work was represented by their fine product, and the town of Greentown took pride in Joe the Farmers work.

Joe the Farmer thought if the animals were nicer about their way of protesting he would be as angry, but going as far as burning the produce was absurd! He told the people of Greentown he wanted to sell his animals off because they were now criminals.

Criminals!
The townspeople understood why Joe the Farmer was so upset, but what about the animals? Were they now criminals for burning the produce? The animals were called in to answer to the townspeople.
