There once was a little pine tree, sitting in the woods.

The little pine tree had no friends. All the trees around him laughed at him for his size, because they were all big.

"Just look at that tiny tree! Hahaha!" Said the biggest.

The little tree sighed. Just then, someone came to the forest and looked all around.

"Ooh, mommy, can we get that one?" Asked the girl.

"Oh, honey, that big one won't fit in our house." Said her mother.

No, that little one, over there!

"Oh! The little one? Sure! That'll fit in nicely."

"Woohoo!" Exclaimed the girl.

The girl and her mother took the tree home. When they got back, the girl said,

"Now that we have a tree, can we decorate?"

"When your father gets home." Said the mom.

The girl's father walked in.

"I'm home!" The father said.

"Yay!" Said the girl. "Now we can decorate!"

They all started to decorate the house for Christmas.

Including the little tree.

"Can I put the star on the tree?" Asked the girl.

"Of course!" Said her parents.

The girl carefully put the star on top of the tree.

Because it was getting late, they all headed to bed. Just then, there was a clatter on the roof.

A man came down through the fireplace.

He went over to the little Christmas tree.

"Ho Ho Ho!" He said, "What a jolly little tree!"

The man was Santa!

"Time to leave the presents!"

Santa said.
