"Ok, Ladies! Rise and Shine! Hup to!" Yelled Cooper at the top of his lungs. He stood in the hall outside the girls' bedroom and, for effect, banged on their doors. "The early bird gets the worm!" 

Riley: "What the heck was that?

Campbell: ""Go away!"

Reese: "Shut up!"

"Now ladies," Cooper continued. "You don't want to sleep the day away. We have things to do, places to see!"

Three sleepy, kinda crabby looking girls peeked out of their rooms.

"Riley's home from school so we need to take advantage of the time with no homework for all!" Cooper continued. "We need to have fun! Together!"

Well, Campbell was still not on board with Coop's plan. "Go away!  I want to sleep." She demanded.

"Oh come on, sleepyhead! The 

world is our oyster!" Coop begged,

Slowly the girls emerged from their rooms, realizing Cooper wasn't going to give up. They agreed to get dressed and meet him downstairs to plan their adventure together. Reese, however, was mulling over the phrase 'the world is our oyster' and wondered what exactly that meant and what it had to do with today.  Cooper said the silliest things sometimes!

Riley and Campbell decided to try to meet Cooper's expectations for the day to come, so, with big sighs, they hurried to get dressed.

Meanwhile, Reese was way ahead of them. She dressed and literally flew down the stairs. 

"Ok, Cooper. I'm ready. Where are we going?" she yelled.

"Yea!" exclaimed Cooper. "Now help me brainstorm some ideas of fun things and adventures we can all do today."

Meanwhile, Riley and Campbell joined them and plans began to swirl in their heads like sugerplums dancing.

"I have a great idea! I'll be right back." and with that Reese ran upstairs.

"Ok, that's just funny." Cams began. "didn't you have a terrible time hunting with Pop? didn't you fall in the lake and didn't your waders come up to your armpits so you couldn't even move?"

"Yes, but I was proud I survived!" declared Reese, "and I wanted to try again."

Cooper laughed but let them all know duck hunting was out of the question without Papa along and this was a 'kids only' adventure.

So everyone began thinking and shouting out ideas all at once.

"You know what?" began Riley. "I actually think we've been EVERYWHERE!!!  Think about it. We've been to         the beaches

    the mountains

    the desert

    overseas

    under the seas

    other continents

    both coasts

    and so much more!"

"You know? You're right! The sky's the limit . . . and I think we may have reached it!" Coop concurred.

Reese is again pondering Cooper's words: 

        the world's our oyster? 

        The sky's the limit? 

        The early bird gets the worm?

He must have been reading a new book, she decided.

Meanwhile, Campbell was giving some serious thought to the plans for the day.
