Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was a Macedonian-born Turkish military man and politician, the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey.
He was born in 1881 in Thessaloniki (Thessaloniki), northern Greece today, and died on November 10, 1938 in Besiktas, in the Province of Istanbul, Turkey. He then studied at the Military Academy in Monastir (now Bitola) in 1895, graduating as a lieutenant in 1904 and then being sent to Damascus. (Hanim). The Republic of Turkey was founded on October 29, 1923, and Kemal was elected the first president of the country. The most revolutionary reform was the replacement of the Arabic alphabet with the Latin alphabet in 1928.
In 1934, a law forced Turks to adopt western-style surnames. The assembly gave Kemal the title of "Atatürk", meaning "father of the Turks".

George Emil Palade (November 19, 1912 - October 8, 2008) was a Romanian-born cell biologist. He has been described as "the most influential cell biologist" ever.[1] He won the 1974 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, along with Albert Claude and Christian de Duve. The award was given to him for his innovations in electron microscopy studies and the innovations he brought to cell biology thanks to his studies on cell structure.[1] His most important discoveries are those related to ribosomes and endoplasmic reticulum, which he first described in 1955.

He was the first ruler of the national state of Romania. After the union, he and his prime minister initiated some significant internal reforms, the most important ones being the agrarian reform and the reform of the education system, giving thus real possibilities of progress and development of the country. Also, during his reign a new Civil Code was conceived, following the French model, the law of mandatory elementary school for all the citizens was elaborated and also the first universities were founded, one of them having his name even today.

"Toše" Proeski January 25, 1981 – October 16, 2007) was a Macedonian multi-genre singer and writer. Considered a top act of the local Macedonian and Balkan music scene, Proeski's music was popular in the multitude of countries in Southeastern Europe. He has been dubbed the "Elvis Presley of the Balkans" by BBC News. Died in a car accident on the A3 Zagreb-Lipovac highway near Nova Gradiška in Croatia on the morning of 16 October 2007, aged 26.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was a Turkish military and politician, born in Macedonia, the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey.
The first name-nickname of "Kemal" was received from his mathematics teacher by the future president, it represents "perfection" or "maturity", and the name of Ataturk, adopted in 1935 according to the Europeanization of names law, means "father of the Turks".
Ataturk was able to proceed with radical reforms to modernize and Europeanize the state and society, starting with the reform in education and clothing, legal reform ( the Islamic religious code was replaced by a Swiss-inspired civil one in 1926), decreed the separation of state institutions from religious ones, replaced the Arabic alphabet with the Latin one, Turkified names, stimulated the construction of roads, streets and bridges.

PETRACHE POENARU (1799-1875)
1799 On the 10th of January Petrache was born at Benesti, Valcea County. He was a Romanian inventor and an Enlighted teacher. He invented the world's first fountain pen. He studied philology at Vienna, then polytechnic at Vienna and Paris.
1827 He invented and patented independently “the endless movable pen”.
1831 He became the first Romanian who travelled by train.
The former subway station, “Semanatoarea” was named like him.
1832 He came back to Romania and worked as a teacher having a great contribution to national education organization.
1848 He took part in Tudor Vladimirescu’s revolution (whose secretary he was).
1875 He died. At the end of his life he was appointed member of Romanian Academy.

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was born in 1881 and died on November 10, 1938 in Istanbul.
At the military academy, Mustafa focused on the study of specialized subjects, but also on the study of politics. He learned French, then German, being attracted to Western ideas.
The Republic of Turkey was founded on October 29, 1923, and Kemal was elected as the country's first president. In practice he was a moderate dictator, although he imposed many democratic reforms.

Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis 22 September 1875 – 10 April 1911) was a Lithuanian painter, composer and writer.
Čiurlionis contributed to symbolism and art nouveau and was representative of the fin de siècle era. He was considered one of the pioneers of abstract art in Europe. In his short life he composed about 400 pieces of music and made about 300 paintings, as well as many literary works and poems.

MIHAI EMINESCU
Eminescu Mihai was born on January 15, 1850 in Botosan, died on June 15, 1889 in Bucharest. He is the most famous Romanian poet and romantic. He studied philosophy at the universities of Vienna and Berlin. Belonged to the student society România jună. From 1870 he collaborated in the journal Convorbiri literare. In it, he published a versed literary manifesto, in which he extolled the greatness of the past and condemned the helplessness of the present. Lived in Jasasi, worked as a library director, school inspector, newspaper editor. Later, he worked in Timpul newspaper in Bucharest. Eminescu created many poems, wrote short stories, fairy tales, literary essays.

Ion Creangă (1837–1889) a Moldavian/Romanian writer, raconteur and schoolteacher. A main figure in 19th-century Romanian literature, he is best known for his Childhood Memories volume.
Creangă's main contribution to fantasy and children's literature includes narratives structured around eponymous protagonists as well as fairy tales indebted to conventional forms : "The Story of the Pig", "The Goat and Her Three Kids", "The Mother with Three Daughters-in-Law", "The Old Man's Daughter and the Old Woman's Daughter".
Widely seen as masterpieces of the Romanian language and local humor, his writings occupy the middle ground between a collection of folkloric sources and an original contribution to a literary realism of rural inspiration.

Marie Salomea Skłodowska–Curie (7 November 1867- 4 July 1934) was a Polish and naturalized-french physicist and chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person and the only woman to win a Nobel Prize twice, and the only person to win a Nobel Prize in two scientific fields. She was, in 1906, the first woman to become a professor at the University of Paris. Marie won the 1911 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for her discovery of the elements polonium and radium, using techniques she invented for isolating radioactive isotopes. Under her direction, the world's first studies were conducted into the treatment of neoplasms by the use of radioactive isotopes. She founded the Curie Institute in Paris in 1920, and the Curie Institute in Warsaw in 1932; both remain major medical research centres. As one of the most famous scientists, Marie Curie has become an icon in the scientific world and has received tributes from across the globe, even in the realm of pop culture.

Mehmet Barış Manço, better known by his stage name Barış Manço, was a Turkish rock musician, singer, composer, actor, television producer and show host. Beginning his musical career while attending Galatasaray High School, he was a pioneer of rock music in Turkey and one of the founders of the Anatolian rock genre.

Regina Marie of Romania,October 29, 1875, Eastwell Park, United Kingdom She married Ferdinand I, Crown Prince of Romania on 29 December 1892, trying and succeeding in integrating into the nation, which from the beginning adopted her as Princess and from 1914 as Queen.
During the war, she worked as an aid nurse in military hospitals accompanying her husband who had taken refuge in Moldova, and this activity earned her public recognition as the "mother of the wounded".
