Valentina

CHAPTER 1

    Everly

There once lived a brave woman. Her name was Valentina. She came from a long line of pirates, the good kind. Her parents, Gabriella and Everett Everly were the greatest pirates of all time. Their wisdom and bravery made many stories. But enough about them, let's talk about Valentina. A brave, wise, and strong woman. All her life she has waited for the right moment, to cross the shore, but she was never sure enough.  'Am I ready?' she thought every second of the day, but in vain, she didn't believe in herself and thought she couldn't do it without her parents. But one day, a miracle happened.

On her 20th birthday,  she decided to take a walk near the shore, as it was one of her favorite hobbies. But to her surprise, there was a tremendously large ship with a group of people standing next to it. "They all look so familiar", thought Valentina to herself. And that's when she perceived that all of these people, every one of them, were pirates from her parent's ship. She recognized the ship as well, her parents owned it. It had the dusty wooden floorboards on which they made history, which is why it meant so much to her. She just stood there, frozen in shock, the next second running to them hugging all of them. She always thought that they had died along with her parents, in the wicked thunderstorm that had killed them. But just at that moment, someone appeared.

CHAPTER 2

       Gifts

The person was Valentina's babysitter and her best and only friend when she was little. Her name was Estelle, meaning stars. They both ran to each other. "I missed you so much, Val!", said Estelle, hugging her tightly." I thought you were gone, I missed you too Elle," said Valentina, with tears in her eyes, hugging her back. "You've grown so much! You're almost as tall as me!", teased Estelle. For some reason, Valentina suddenly looked sad.'' What's wrong?", Even though Valentina's emotions barely showed, Estelle knew that she was sad."It's just that, how come you all survived, but my parents didn't? It just.... doesn't make sense", said Valentina. " I'll tell you that story later, I have a surprise for you, come with me'', replied Estelle.

THE PIRATE JOURNAL

Estelle led her to a wooden table in the captain's cabin. "Ar- are these-", "Your gifts? Yup, your parents were supposed to give you this when they returned '', interrupted Estelle. "Returned from what?'', asked Valentina. "We'll talk about that later; now open your stuff!'', Estelle said excitedly, like she was opening her gift. As Valentina carefully picked up the sword, Estelle handed her a belt with a sword holder on it. Valentina put the belt on and slid the sword into it. She picked up  THE PIRATE JOURNAL and opened it. "This will help you a LOT", Estelle said. "Quick, don't you want to hear the story about your parents? ", said Estelle. "Ummm... Can I just open this one after you tell me the story? Please?", said Valentina. "You know what? Fine".
