Chapter One
Stoned for Life
Dexter Luis Dome wasn't a normal kid. Or you could say he didn't have a normal WORLD. He was in the world where it's the"Every person for himself", thing. You see, when you try to live, you kill. It was a "Naturalist" rule. You HAD to try to
survive. Even kids. That's why he's a MS-G5 strapped to his spine. But today, it was a ceremony that had started one hundred years ago. There was peace. Even so, you had to keep your guard up and your kindness down. Dexter did have a brother, though. But he was an orphan. He didn't have a home and often had to sleep in the heating company's abandoned storage. It was warm, and
fit for a happy family.(Not like he had a family anyway)Other people saw the heating company as an open opportunity, too. So he and his brother(Did I mention his brother's name was Louis? Kinda weird, since his middle name is Luis)had to 'defend' it. (<==More like trash talking people out of their territory)So anyway. He was
walking along a broken down alleyway, in the direction to the Town Square. (Why is it called "Town Square"? Its an oval shape!)Suddenly, a shattering CRASH came out of nowhere. Bullets flew through the air. Dexter ducked behind some barrels and loaded his gun. He reached for a grenade and hurled it in the direction the bullets came from. A face popped out from a
shattered window and started pelting Dexter with shards of lead. This gun was called the TOMAHAWK-13. When the bullets came out, they got shredded into there original material, lead. Then they got placed in a circle, and after that they got launched out of the pipe. It caused devastating bone injuries, and if one pierced you a couple of times, you were a dead man on the spot. Dexter held up a trash can
lid for protection, then he crossed the tracked ground. With one hand, he took out his DUN-16 and fired into the window. He heard a thud, which meant the man had ducked. He quickly hurled a grenade inside the abandoned warehouse, and ducked. A BOOM sounded, then he ran out of the alleyway. A crashing sound came from behind him. His legs tightened as he sprinted to the town
square. He looked behind him, where a horrific scene stood. Mossy stones, red and cracked bricks, shattered glass, and spiked wood. CHIK! CHIK! CHIK! CHIK! An intense, sharp sound came from behind the bricks.
Dexter dove for cover as he watched some teenagers with Tomahawks walk through the clearing. He reached for a grenade, and did three
things: One, grab the grenade
Two, Clip off the metal clip and flip the switch down
Three, He flung it towards the teenagers.
KABOOOM!! Dexter covered his ears and closed his eyes. Getting smoke in your eyes was dangerous, and could cause an eye infection. OK. Maybe the eye infection part was to overkill,
it could cause permanent eye damage.
Back to the topic, Dexter wandered closer to a large opening, which, of course, was the place 1 mile away from the baseball field where Apollo had blessed Babe Ruth with 3 home runs. OK. Maybe that was overkill again. But, you weren't supposed to sneak up on people like that in a ceremony day, so, he wondered again. Who were those people?
Chapter Two
Overkill playgrounds
Notice how the title says Overkill Playgrounds? Wonder what that means? It means particularly a
battlefield. And, it wasn't too hard to see that the whole earth was now a 'Overkill Playground'.
Dexter trudged into the open area, breathing heavily because of the action he had just experienced. Well, he did experience a lot of action, but two times in a row? Overkill. AGAIN.
