Toruń has long been famous for its wonderful, aromatic pastries. Each baker baked gingerbread according to his own closely guarded recipe. It was enough to taste the gingerbread to know whose bakery it comes from.

Bogumił, a young baker, worked for Master Bartłomiej. He was very hardworking and fun at the same time. When he worked, the whole bakery filled with his cheerful singing.

The charming young man attracted the attention of the master's daughter, Rose. But Bogumił was not indifferent to her either. He often brought her huge bouquets of wildflowers and baked huge gingerbread hearts.

Rose was also courted by an old widower who brought her strings of pearls. The girl's father wanted her to marry the rich widower, but she loved Bogumił with all her heart.

One day, when there was little work in the bakery, the baker went to the nearby stream to pick the most beautiful flowers for Rose.

As he was walking along, he saw a bee in the stream. She was all wet and clearly weakened from fighting the element. Bogumił leaned over and handed her a leaf that was lying on the edge. He gently fished out the bee and laid it on the clover to dry in the sun.

He was about to leave when he heard: - Thank you for saving my subject's life, Bogumil. The boy looked around and saw a tiny queen and knights in the grass. He knelt down and bowed, for she was the dwarf queen.

- "You're a good man. Without bees, we would not survive, because we live only on the honey that they collect for us. I will reward your generosity and tell you a secret. With it you will gain fame and wealth, ”said the queen.  /text - Filip, voice - Julia/

The baker was surprised that it was so simple, but thanked him and bowed again. When he looked up, neither the queen nor the knights were there. - Was this a dream? he thought as he ran back to the city. He wanted to try the dwarf queen's advice immediately.

As soon as he entered the city gate, he saw a large crowd gathered in the marketplace. Everyone was excitedly talking about some upcoming event. - The king is coming to us! - heard one of the townspeople. - When? the boy asked, trying to find out. - Tomorrow! Tomorrow! shouted someone from the crowd.

Bogumił rushed to Master Bartłomiej's bakery and started preparing the dough. He also did not forget about honey, which he added secretly from the master. He spent the whole night baking gingerbread cookies of various shapes.
