For all the kids that feel a little diffrent

Our story begins at the pound. A place where dogs with no home are left to live. As you can tell, the pound is not very fun and colorful, but the dogs do their best to have fun with what they have. Everyone seems to be having fun except for Norman. Norman is by himself because he can't play with the other dogs because of his disability. Norman is just like the other dogs, but he struggles to walk and has to use crutches. This means he can't play all the games the other dogs play but is just as sweet.

"Why can't you just play with us Norman? Is it cause you don't like us?"
Norman didn't know how to answer the other dog's question and felt embarrassed that he was so different. Little did the other dogs know that he would love to play games with them and feel like a part of the pack, but because of his crutches, he had no way to play. With a sad face, he waddled away.

Well if he can't play like a normal dog then nobody is gonna want him at adoption day.
He cant even play fetch
Or roll over
Is he even a dog?
Hearing what all the other dogs had to say Norman thought there was no way he was going to get adopted. Sad and alone, Norman left the pack and decided he was going to sleep outside tonight. He couldn't be around the other ¨normal¨ dogs.

As Norman settled himself under the stars, he thought about what he could do to be like the other dogs. He decided that night he was going to do his best to be just like the pack. He would roll over, fetch, and even sit. As he fell asleep, he swore on the brightest star that tomorrow would be different!

The next day, Norman tried his best to act like a normal dog.
He tried to roll over but got stuck on his back.
He tried to beg, but couldn't lift his head.
He tried to burry a bone, but couldn't line up the bone and the hole.
He even tried to go on a walk but tripped on a rock.

With no luck and adoption day tomorrow, Norman was sure he was going to spend another year in the pound. He sadly walked back to the pound and waited for the dreaded day to come.
