Love
The River
Flooding
Demolishing
Swallowing everything
The Earth the Sun the Moon the Stars
Leaving nothing
But destruction
In its wake
Will you run from the River?
If you do, you will start ahead of it legs striding heart
straining but after awhile your breath will grow heavy
Your strides short and the River
Will catch up to you till it is licking at your ankles and
finally it will swallow you whole
Will you run?

Or will you face it?
If you do, the River will engulf you
Pull you under
You will kick your arms your legs
But to no avail
Till finally you arise coughing water beads of
sweat on your wet forehead
And once again the River will swallow you
Its your choice. Will you run or face the River?

Missing
I can see her eyes
when I am dreaming
I can hear her claws on the floor
Going click-clack, click-clack
And I miss her
I think I see her sometimes
But I still feel like a piece of me
Died with her
Like a piece of me is lost forever
Missing
To my sweet Josie, wherever you are

Puzzle Pieces
I fit in piece after piece
Sometimes I cannot decide between two
Sometimes I know exactly what to do
And when I finish my puzzle, I will step back
and look at it
And I will be happy

Dreaming
I go to sleep and I dream
I dream of colors thrashing in the skies
I howl to the Northern Lights
I am a wolf
I go to sleep and I dream
I dream of green leaves scattered on a canopy
for miles
I dive I swoop
I am an eagle

I go to sleep and I dream
I dream of waves of coral of sand
I jump I dive I flip
I am a dolphin
But I am woken up
I cannot continue my dreams
For I have awoken into the real world.

Black
Black
That’s the first thing I saw
But I looked up and I saw the stars
And I was reassured
Black
That’s the last thing I’ll see
But I’ll look up at the stars
And know I’ll be in good hands

The Shot
The doctor came to give me a shot
I screamed lied
I pleaded I cried
“I’ll run away,” I said, but he said,
“Oh no your not, your staying here to get your
shot!”
He pinned me down and I screamed so loud,
My Mother thought it was a thunder cloud,
And she closed all the shades
And warned the maids
But the Doctor he gave me that shot and………..
I hardly felt a thing!

I cannot describe
Love
I cannot describe it
Passion
I cannot describe it
Forgiveness
I cannot describe it
Funny how all the best feelings
Are the hardest to describe

Sweet
Sweet little baby,
Sweet little thing;
Look at all the pleasure you bring!
Sweet little baby,
Sweet little-
AAHHHH! GET OFF MY FINGER!

Red
The color of a heart
Red
The color of a shopping cart
Red
The color of a rose
Red
The color of fire, I suppose
Red
The color of the couch
Red
The color of my pouch
There are many other things
Like velvet thrones for kings
That are red.

Red

RIPPLES
In a river
With a gust of lace flowers
In the snow
With a whisper and a kiss
We listen
To the clouds whirling in the sky
And as we open our hearts
The spider weaves the eye of the sleeping wolf

Dear Pack Wolves
Do you ever let lone wolves hunt with your pack,
Even though lone wolves don’t have group hunting
knacks?
Do you ever let lone wolves huddle with you in the
sleet?
‘cause in wintertime lone wolves have cold feet.
When you see a lone wolf, do you attack, or do you
invite them to join your pack?

Can a lone wolf ever become an Alpha Male?
Or do they forever remain the Omega, the tail?
Have you ever heard a lone wolf howl to the moon,
and returned the untamed wild tune?
I bet you’ve never heard a lone wolf cry, it’s sound
so gentle, almost a sigh.
