Once upon a time, there were two boys. One was named Jack, and the other named Henry. Jack and Henry attend the same middle school and both are in 8th grade.
Jack has lots of friends and is on the football team, while Henry could be considered a "loner" and a bookworm.

Summer break has just ended, and everyone is excited to be back in school. Henry had a long summer. All summer long he read books, completed the assigned "over the summer" homework, and prepared himself for eighth grade.
Jack also had a long summer. Jack played video games and football with his friends almost everyday during the summer.

The first bell rings, everyone is making their way to their classes. Henry is excited for a fresh start this year. Seventh grade was very hard for Henry, he would get picked on everyday. Henry is hoping this year will be the best yet and that he would no longer get picked on for being the "smart lonely" kid.

As the students make their way to the classroom, Henry spots Jack and his friends. The most popular boys in his grade, and the ones who make fun of him the most. Henry avoids eye contact with the group, which seemed to make him unnoticeable. It was mostly always Jacks friends that made fun of Henry.

Oh no! Don't make eye contact.

A few days of school go by, Henry is having an amazing few days in eighth grade. One day, while waiting for the bell to ring, Henry is going over the notes for the class when out of the corner of his eye he spots Jacks friends laughing at him. "Look at Henry, going over the notes by himself in the back of the room" says one of Jacks friends. Jack asks what his friends are laughing at but gets interrupted by the bell.

This is going to be a good year!
A few days go by, and everyday Henry continues to get picked on by Jacks friends. Surprisingly Jack doesn't know that his friends have been bullying Henry. Until one day Jack came to class early and witnessed what his friends were doing to Henry. Jack heard his friends calling Henry mean names, and watched them push Henry around. Jack was very confused, he didn't know that this was what his friends had been doing.

I wonder what my friends are doing..
Jack walks up to his friends and Henry, He asks what they were doing. Jack's friends said that they were only playing a game with Henry and denied making fun of him, but Jack knew his friends were lying. Jack told his friends that he had been standing there watching them bully Henry the whole time.

What a weirdo!
ha ha ha!
