Chapter 1
"ROAR!" yelled a shadowed figure. Eric was in trouble. Sprinting down the mountain creatures of the forest heard Eric's yelps. He was in more trouble. This might be Eric's last day. The shadowed figure came closer and closer until it was too close for comfort......
Chapter 2
1 day earlier...
They heard the bad news everyone in town heard the bad news, the terrible news. Eric's dad died in a car crash before work. Mama was sobbing in her bed. There was no happy soul right now in town and Eric was no different. Eric had a dad and now he does not. All he could think was why and how. Why did this happen to him 3 days before bring your dad to school day? How did it happen all of a sudden? It didn't make sense to Eric. Eric was frustrated right now. For
some reason nothing was going right for him right now. His dad, Mr. Pateson, died and people were bullying him for that. All he could do is sit, sit and wait for a miracle. Sit and sob on his bed like a baby. But Eric wasn't a baby, he was a 10 year-old kid. A 5th grader. It was a weekend. A Saturday to be specific and if it was a school day he wouldn't go to school anyway. School was a prison to Eric. He dreaded going to school on school days. School was a nightmare come to life to Eric because he got teased and bullied.
Eric went to Mama's room to comfort her but nothing worked. Eric ran outside the house to enjoy fresh air in the great outdoors.
Chapter 3
Maybe fresh air can't help you and your problems because still it didn't comfort him. It feels like nothing ain't working. Like the passing of his beloved father was bigger than everything in the world. Even bigger than Scar from "The Lion King" because unlike Scar who got eaten by hyenas, this problem can't be eaten by carnivorous mammals. All Eric can do about the death of his dad was sit and sob, and sob, and sob. "WOOF! WOOF!" Eric heard a bark from the neighbor’s security dog! The dog (Max) started
chasing Eric. Eric ran for his life. He stumbled. Max was gonna bite him, tear him to shreds. Eric prepared for impact. "Stop Max, stop!" boomed a voice. It was the neighbor. "Thanks" said Eric. Eric was lucky he escaped that one.
Chapter 4
Eric saw the forest next to his house. He had never gone into the forests. But since Eric was depressed right now he went into the forests which means Eric probably has an IQ of just over 10. But as Eric went deeper into the forests he saw more mystical things like colorful mushrooms and bright red leaves. When Eric saw these things he wanted to leave the forest grounds but he soon realized he was lost. "No no no no!" yelped Eric. Eric just realized he can
no longer see his house. Eric was in trouble. All Eric could see was endless rows of trees and shrubs. "ROAR!" screeched a figure. The figure pounced in front of Eric. It was a mystical and gigantic bear. "ROAR!" yelled the bear one more time. All Eric could do is run. Eric ran. Eric ran fast but the big bear was faster. Eric tripped and fell into a ditch. He was safe from the bear but not from danger. Eric could hear the roars of multiple mystical creatures. "Man" Eric said
in a hopeless voice. Eric was really dirty but it has only been 25 minutes. Eric was now hopeless. "What does the Earth want from me" Eric said to himself. "After the tragedy that was my father's passing I get lost in some mystical forest". Day turned to night and Eric was still shivering in a ditch. It was now morning and Eric wanted to get out of the ditch. Eric dug holes on the sides of the ditch to climb on. He climbed out! Fresh air blew on his face. He was free.
