Puddles trotted after a Smokey grey leopard. The leopard turned around, and gazed at her with blind, jade eyes. The golden dragon squealed, “Alleey! Stop that face, it’s creepy!” The leopard smiled, “sorry Princess.” “Are we going to find… what’s her name?” “Amii. I never met her.” Alleey sighed. “I’m sorry… they think you’re as horrible as your mother. I think she was trying to protect what was left of the Windswepts.” Puddles looked down sadly. “It shall be okay, little one. It shall be okay.”

Prologue

Chapter one

Zip smiled. He loved Keema so much, he decided to stay. A squawk* walked up to him. “Still no sign of the-one-we-do-not-speak-of’s daughter, sir.” Chattered the squawk. “Good to know. Thanks!” Replied Zip. The squawk’s eyes shone with happiness after being thanked by a legend. “ZIP!” a golden dragon with black tips skidded into the room, “my sister’s daughter is missing!”

*a squawk is a giant squirrel with horns

“Princess Puddels, Sora’s daughter?!” Zip thought, remembering the little hyper golden-brown dragon cub. “The others are looking outside.” Libby continued, panting. A sudden, sharp knock sounded at the door. Zip raced to open it. A gorgeous cream and white papillon dog with teal eyes, and forest green hood stood in the doorway. She carried a lantern. “Hello. My name is Ever. Could you give me shelter? It is raining harshly out here.”  Zip stared at the dog.

Chapter two

A snout nudged Zip’s shoulder. “Oh! Sorry- yes.” Zip shook his head, but Ever’s image never left his mind. “Thank you.” Ever padded inside, shook her pelt, and pulled down her hood. “Follow me” said Zip. He trotted down the hall, and stopped at a door, crested with gold. “This is my room if you ever need anything.” Ever giggled. Zip continued to walk. “Here is yours. One second.” Zip closed his eyes. He thought of a rabbit room caretaker. The rabbit he pictured appeared, and his paws’s glow faded. “Have a good stay!”

That night, ZIP couldn’t sleep. He thought of all that had happed. Puddels going missing, Ever arriving, and his powers growing stronger each day.

Chapter three

“Zip?” Zip looked up. It was the middle of the night! Sora, Libby’s sister, looked through the crack in the door, “Ever can’t sleep. Do you think she should sleep with Pepper?” “Sure.” Zip answered. He just wanted to sleep!

Ever slid out of bed. “Maybe they have elk…” she murmured under her breath. She opened the door and saw Pepper, a half-blind mud dragon sitting in the corner. “What’s wrong?” She asked. “I-I… I miss Puddels!” He wailed. A albino tankui sat beside him. “I understand. I’ve been alone, wandering, my whole life!” She exclaimed., “let’s go to the kitchen. Do they have elk?” 

Zip imagined the kitchen. The next moment, he was there. Ever and Pepper were eating an elk. “Well hello, sleepy-head. It’s 9:00!” Ever teased.

Zip turned pale. “I have to go!”

chapter four

Ever watched Zip gallop out of the palace. “Where’s he going?” She asked Pepper. “To help look for my sister in the Wisp Woods.” He answered. Ever knew that nobody, except her and other wanderers, had ever gone in the woods. She knew her way around and they didn’t! “I have to go! See you later, Pepper!” Ever grabbed her bag and raced out the door.

She sighed. I wish Zip was here…. She shook her head, clearing her thoughts. She had to find Zip, the queen, and they’re friends!

Chapter five

“Woa!” Zip backed away as Ever barreled into him. “I couldn’t find you! You don’t know your way around these woods!” She sobbed. “Alright.” He soothed, “follow me.” Zip looked back at her and she followed close.

When they got at camp, Sirrock was snoring, & Libby and Coral were building a tent. Zira was looking for herbs. Coral noticed them and flew down.

“Hi.” Said Ever simply, and Coral giggled. Ever looked at Zip. Zip looked at Ever, and she blushed and stepped away. “Aw, Coral don’t teeze the love birds.” Said Libby, smiling. Zip glared at her.

Chapter six

The group trotted through the deep, murkey forest. Owls’ hoots and wolves’ howled echoed around the trees. Zip nestled close to Ever and whispered in her ear, “I don’t care if they tease us.” She smiled, and nestled close to him. “Wait…” Libby lifted her snout to the air and announced, “come out, I know your there.”

A smokey grey she-wolf with a face scar stretching from ear to nose stepped out from the mist. “WhoOo. Are. You?”

Chapter seven

Libby stood strong. “I am Queen Libby, bravest Chosen One.” The wolf scoffed, “that dosnt matter here, honey. I’m Hawk. This is Spider, and my mate Meadow.” She nodded to the pup and other wolf standing next to her. “Meadow’s a wind dire wolf. I’m a cloud.” She continued. Then she turned her head and noticed Ever. “Oh, Ever. I’d wondered where you went.” Ever smiled,

“We are finding a missing princess.” She answered. “I wish you and your pack good luck!” Hawk called as she trotted away. “This is confusing. Two Hawks.” Said Sirrock. “Well, one is Hawk’s Opal if that helps.”

At Samaru Palace

Found flapped his wings in panic, Brooke stared in terror. How could this happen? There were never earthquakes! “Hawk! Help him!” She cried at Hawk’s Opal as he sat calmly watching Found being crushed by rocks. “I can not. He is going to die.” “PHOENIXES DONT DIE!” shouted Brooke through tears, “YOU MONSTER!”

Chapter eight

“Mother? Amii?” Alleey walked into the cavern, feeling its ridges with her paws. “Alleey!” Puddles’s fur brushed hers, signaling her to stop. “What is it?” She asked, even though she could already feel the presence of her mother, Anari. “Who’s there?” A soft, airy voice called from the floor, “there’s a gap. A golden panther is in it.” Said Puddles. “Amii?…” “how- how do yo… Alleey?!” The sound of paws slapping the earth filled the area. “Is mother here?” Asked Alley, “oh yes, but I need you to help.”

Amii led Alley through a tunnel, “this might be weird for a second.” Her purr reached Alleey’s ears, and she felt something warm against her eyes. Suddenly, strings of colored fire grew around her. “I can… see? In a way?” Alleey stubbled around and noticed a cold, black stone. “This stone is our mother’s prison. If we use our powers, we can free her. Put your paws on the stone. Tunnel into her thoughts.” Commanded Amii. 

Everything was quiet for a second. Then a black panther shrouded with mist emerged from the stone.

Chapter nine

It had allready been a week and a half since Ever arrived. Zip walked out of his tent and sat next to Ever, “what’s… for, dinner? I mean breakfast!” He asked sleepily. “Trout?” Said Ever and she leaned over to nuzzle him. “NOOOOoOOOoOoOoOoOoOooOoOOoOoOOoOooOo!!!!!!!!!!!” Libby’s mini storm wyvern, Thunder, who was usually this grumpy, stormed out of Libby’s tent and flew into the trees.

(BrO THat wAs AWKwaRd) Zip gasped. “What?” Said Libby at he same time as Ever. “It’s- Anari. She escaped.”

Chapter ten

The group trotted through the forest, hurrying toward Anari’s prison. “When this is all over. We will get a cave in a meadow, in Samaru, or near the Dragonmainia palace.” Growled Zip softly. “Oh, don’t you know?” Ever’s deep green eyes looked up at him, “what is it?” Asked Zip. “Nothing.” Coral flew down to them, “just tell him!”

“Fine… well… I don’t know how to say this…” She looked at her paws. “She’s expecting!” Shouted Coral, who wasn’t good at keeping secrets. Zip smiled, “who’s the father?” He asked even though he really didn’t need too. Ever leaned closer to him, “it’s our daughter.” She whispered.

Chapter eleven

Anari stepped out of her cavern for the first time in a year. She breathed in the freshness of the mountain. “Take a look, mother!” She had forgotten Alleey was there too. Anari gazed along the land, her eyes landing on a familiar beagle.

“Zip.” Anari breathed, “we have to get out of here. “But Auntie Libby is with them!” Said Puddles. “They are coming for me!” The group started out, then- “Puddles!” Anari froze. They had spotted her.

Chapter twelve

“wait.” Zip cautioned Ever behind him, “Puddles is there, but so is Anari and her daughters.” Zip calmly walked up to the other group, but the young golden panther stepped forward, her head high. “I am Amii of the Windswepts. You will not harm my mother!” Zip glanced at Anari, who was curled up in a ball, teary. He then glanced back at Amii, and to his surprise…

Her paws were glowing. The same glow as his, only purple. The other cub’s were glowing green. Zip stared. He raised one of his own glowing paws, and whispered, “h-how?” Then he heard a voice in his head, Hello Zip. I am Alleey, the grey leopard. I can use telepathy and mind-reading. My sister is the holder of elements. “Wait. You?” Alleey nodded. “Yes, me.” Her terrifying-yet-beautiful eyes looked toward Amii. “We are known as The Trinity.”

Chapter thirteen

Ever heaved herself forward. “Ev-“ “let her speak.” She announced. Anari shot a weak smile at her, then spoke. “I am not… type villain. It is a wolf named Hawk’s Opal. He is at Samaru palace, and has two captives. A phoenix named Found and their young queen, Brooke.” “No-“ Zip’s eyes grew wide. “But you can’t go!” Anari lept up, “he is searching for the she-dog! The holder of the way to Sanaria!” “Me? I’ve never heard of this place?”

“The lost realm.” Amii nodded. “It’s not just her. In her hood is hidden a key, and the Trinity are the only ones to access it. the only way to reach the final realm.”

Chapter fourteen

Zip walked into Anari’s cubs’ tent, and sat down. “Hi.” Amii was sunbathing under a miniature sun floating above her. “Water?” ZIP nodded, and Amii pointed to a glass, which filled on her command, two ice cubes plopping in after.

“Ouch!” Alleey’s voice came from the other room in the tent, and Amii called, “need more light?” Then, Alleey came in, her eyes glowing and (sploot hehe) layed down next to her sister. (Sup) “soooo, show us your power. Bring us Brooke & Found.”

Chapter fifteen

Zip’s mind raced through the woods, all the way to a murkey cave. Found was wilting in a cage, and Hawk’s Opa, was cornering Brooke. “No! No! Stop it!” Brooke’s desperate cries called him and the the two tethers back to the tent, with poor Brooke shaking
