The Night I was an Astronaut!

This is a story about Matt and his adventures in space.

It was past 9 o'clock, and my mother came to my room to ensure I was in bed. My mother told me, "Goodnight, Matt, and I love you; go to sleep so that you do not miss the bus in the morning for school." My mother turned on my galaxy projector to help me relax and turned off the lights in my bedroom. She always leaves a small crack in my door if I wake up at night.
There I lay in total darkness except for my galaxy light. I stare at the ceiling looking at the stars and rockets twirling across my ceiling. My eyes are getting heavy, but I lay there relaxed and tired. I love looking and gazing at the stars.

There I began to drift off into a galaxy in outer space. I see yellow stars and triangle rockets around me. I looked around to find my mother, but unfortunately, there were no other people there. I hollered, "helloooooooo, is anyone here." The words just echoed back to me. I am standing in space alone in my green pajamas. I thought to myself, am I really in space? Suddenly, a blue square passes me and goes far into the galaxy.

I am standing in space alone and afraid. Where are my family and friends? How will I get back home?
All I see around me are yellow stars, many yellow stars. Maybe if I grab a big yellow star, it may take me home.

I jumped up as high as I could and grabbed some yellow stars. I'm floating; I am floating!! Float, sail away. The stars are bringing me home. I am so happy because I miss my mom, my toys, and especially Mrs. Kelley, my English teacher. I am floating through the galaxy. Suddenly, I see three big brown boxes heading my way.

The brown boxes bumped into me, and I fell onto Mars. I want to go home! How will I get home? I will miss my morning breakfast at school.

I see a giant grey rocket with a bright red fire above me. I started jumping up and down and screaming as loud as possible, but the missile flew away into the galaxy. I am so sad and alone, and I miss my mom. Tears started flowing from my eyes with sadness and loneliness.
