
THE QUEEN'S DREAM
The story of Siddhartha begins with the queen having a dream.
The dream showed the gods choosing the queen to carry and give birth to the future prince Siddhartha.

THE MEETING WITH THE COUNCIL TO INTERPRET THE DREAM
- After the queen's dream, the King gathered a council of 8 wise men to interpret the queen's dream.
- The council predicted that the queen was going to give birth to a prince.
- The council predicted that the prince will be pearless and strong.

THE ROYAL SON IS 5 DAYS OLD
- Five days after the prince was born, the King invited 8 council members to interpret his son's future.
- The first 7 members predicted that he had 2 paths: one to become a powerful ruler with a big empire; or he would become the supreme budhha.
- The last council member said that he only had one path which was to reach enlighten, and become the supreme spiritual leader or buddha

WHAT WOULD CAUSE THE PRINCE TO CHOOSE A SPIRITUAL LIFE
- The prince will see 4 signs: a sick man, a dead man, an old man, and a monk
- The prince will get inspired after seeing all 4 signs and choose to become a monk
WHAT DOES THE KING DO AFTER HEARING THE COUNCIL?
- The king commits using many ways to prevent the prince from seeing a sick man, a dead man, an old man or a monk.

THE NAMING OF THE PRINCE
- The 8 council members gave the prince the name of Siddhartha.
- The name means "he who will succeed in that which he desires".

THE FIRST TIME THE KING SEES THE PRINCE MEDITATING
- For the first time, the prince meditates the whole day and shows his ability to reach peace of mind
- The king bows when he sees his son meditating

THE EDUCATION OF PRINCE SIDDHARTHA
- At age 7, Siddhartha begins his education
- He learned very quickly to the point when he learned everything his teachers could teach him
