I am a wolf. My name is Remus. I live in the mountains that touch the moon. My siblings and I live together.

I am the oldest of my siblings which means that I get whatever I want and I don't have to share with anyone. I get whatever I want and that is just how it goes. Leo and Luna have to work to get things they want or need.

I howl to the moon for plump deer, the coziest grass for my bed, crystal clear water collected in a deep bowl, and sunlight on my napping rock. I have always asked for what I wanted and I have always gotten it.

As I was sleeping on my napping rock my little siblings came to bother me.
"Remus Remus come play with us," they barked at me. I rolled my eyes and turned away.
"No, I am napping" I yawned and turned on my rock. "I do not want to lose the sunlight." This response made Luna and Leo whine and run away with their tails tucked.

"Remus," my siblings whined, "please let us have some of your grass for our beds. Our is scratchy and falling apart." I huffed and turned away from them. How dare they ask me to share my precious grass?
As I lay down sleeping, I saw the moon in my dreams. The moon shined brightly and I felt vibrations in my bones. I wanted to vibrations to stop, they were hurting me. I whined and tossed around in my grass bed. The vibrations turned into a high-pitched ache in my ears.
"Taken for granted now refused but earned by goodness shown," a voice whispered in my ears.

When I woke up that morning my siblings were gone and my precious grass bed was replaced with a dirt pile. My coat was matted and dirty. I howled with pain.
"MY COAT! MY BED!" I howled to the sun as if it would bring back what I had lost.
I tried looking for my grass clippings, my bowl, and a plump deer but I couldn't find them anywhere.
"Luna and Leo, where are you? I need your help getting my things back." I howled. I searched for hours but my siblings, grass clippings, bowl, and plump deer could not be found.

That night, I wished upon the moon like I used to. I wished for my bowl back. My soft grass bed back. Plump deer for me to eat. I wished for all these things over and over again. Yet I did not feel the pull of the moon as I used to when I wished on the moon.
