Buchan saves  the day

One morning when Libbie was feeding the cows, her dad came over to her with a goat! 

Libbie was living with her dad on a small farm. Her mum died when she was 7. 

Libbie loved goats, but they could never get their hands on one. 

"Oh  Dad! but how?"

" Well," started Bruce, Libbie's dad."They were selling goats in the market for $50 and I thought I should get my little girl one."                     

 "Thank you so much dad!" Cried Libbie.                           "So what are you going to call him?"                            

 "Oh well...Buchan mabye."                                     

"That's a great name Libbie", said Bruce, "now I've gotta get back to harvesting the apples and you have some fun with Buchan."                                                    

"Ok dad!" And then Libbie ran off to quickly milk the cows so she could play with Buchan.

She finished milking the cows as quickly as she could and then ran back home. 

She went to her room and put her coat on. She smelt fresh bread baking on her way back down. 

As she was leaving ,she saw a guy in all black climbing out their window!" 

"HEY! YOU!" Come back here!" shouted Libbie, but he ran away. Libbie ran out the door. Buchan saw the man and bolted after him.

The man ran down the grass, Libbie still shouting ran after him. Buchan caught up to him and knocked him over! 

The man tumbled down the hill, and Buchan put a hoof on him to keep him down. 

Libbie saw him down (and no not Buchan the bad guy) and ran in the opposite direction to get the cops.

Soon Libbie found the police and they gave her a ride back home. She pointed out where the guy was and they walked over to him. 

A few hours later the guy and the police were both gone."

Good job Buchan!"

By now Bruce was there, "What happend Libbie?"                 "Buchan saved the day dad", said Libbie with a smile.                

Libbie went back home and made dinner for her and Bruce. After dinner she went outside to feed Buchan the leftovers of their nice, hearty stew and he enjoyed his heroes reward!

Chapter 2

Libbie woke up to an awful smell! "It smells like...dirty socks!" thought Libbie. She slowly walked down stairs and sure enough dads boots and socks were on the floor, YAWN!           

 "Morning              Dad," said Libbie. 

"Hi hun!"
