Tepelerin ardından güneş ışıklarını tüm güzelliğiyle ormana yansıtıyordu. Yemyeşil bir yerde, bir sürü ağacın olduğu bu ormanda çiçekler boy göstermiş, arılar vızıldıyor, kuşlar mutlulukla uçuyordu. 

Behind the hills, the sun was reflecting the forest in all its beauty. In a green place, in this forest with many trees, flowers appeared, bees were buzzing, birds were flying happily.

İki yakın arkadaş ormanda yürüyüşe çıktılar ve yol boyunca gördükleri tüm arkadaşlarına selam verdiler. Yakın arkadaşları Maymun Muki onlara sordu: "Hey! Böyle nereye gidiyorsun?"

Two close friends went for a walk in the forest and greeted all their friends they saw along the way. Their close friend Monkey Muki asked them: "Hey! Where are you going like that?"

MÜGE SU ERTAŞ-SERİNYOL ANAOKULU-ANTAKYA

Göle serinlemeye gidiyoruz, bize eşlik etmek ister misin? demişler Maymun Muki'ye.

Üçü birlikte yola koyulmuşlar. Yetiştiklerinde gölün suyunun kurumuş olduğunu  gördüler.

We are going to the lake to cool off, would you like to accompany us? they said to Monkey Muki.

The three of them set off together. When they grew up, they saw that the water of the lake had dried up.

Kirpi "Nasıl olur, kuraklık yok ki, göl neden kurumuş böyle? demiş. Tavşan ise hadi sebebini bulalım deyince üç arkadaş dere boyunca yürümeye başlamış. Yol boyunca duyduklarına inanamamışlar. Su samuru ailesi derenin tüm suyunu kapatmış ve kimseyle paylaşmak istemiyorlarmış.

Hedgehog said, "How can it be, there is no drought, why is the lake dry?" When the rabbit said, let's find the reason, the three friends started walking along the stream. They couldn't believe what they heard along the way.

CAMELİA-ELENA BERCEA-ROMANYA

Üç arkadaş, su samuru ailesine neden sadece kendileri için su olmasını istediklerini sordu. "Senin gibiler bu göle serinlemeye geliyor" diye cevap verdiler. Maymun Muki, "Böyle sıcak bir günde soğuk bir gölde yüzmek istesen kabul eder miydin, ama yapamaz mısın?" İşte o zaman su samurları gölün sadece kendilerine ait olmadığını anladılar.

The three friends asked the otter family why they would like to have water just for them. They replied, "Many like you come to cool down at this lake.". The monkey Muki said, "Would you agree if you liked, on such a warm day, to swim in a cold lake, but you can't?". That's when the otters realized that the lake wasn't just theirs.

Bunun üzerine su samurları hatalarını anladılar ve üç arkadaştan  özür dilediler.  İhtiyaçları kadar olan suyu kullanıp fazlasının diğer hayvanlar da kullansın diye dereden akmasına izin verdiler.
