Luca awoke from a wonderful sleep, his eyes wide open with joy. Today is the first day of June and it was Luca's favorite day. He would go to her grandmother's and both work and picnic in her organic vegetable and orchard. Luca looked out the window at the sun shining, it was just summer weather. He had no idea that things would turn upside down so soon.

When Luca went to his grandmother, he found her languidly playing with the hose. He asked curiously what was going on. He learned that the water was cut off. The plants in the garden were already wilted and lifeless. While the weather was beautiful in the morning, the sky was now dark. This was not normal at all. He ran to his room to investigate the situation and turned on his computer.

On his computer, I found the time prediction for that day. The website says that days can start with

stronger electric storms, causing blackouts and fires in the forests. When he finished reading this part,

his computer turned off, and the lights of the house too. The power went off.

Willing to find some more information, he left his grandmother’s house. There was a great electric storm

and there was a cat who needed some help. He ran to catch up to the cat. He saw a big lightning bolt

falling into his mother's garage. It was then that he saw something strange.

The lightning seemed to have taken a human form! It looked like a man, all in light, and it was getting closer to him,slowly.

The boy was very scared, as he didn’t know what it was or where it came from. “Don’t be afraid”, the

light-man said. “I’m here to help you and your planet.

The lightning bolt looked friendly at Luca and said:

- Know, my dear, that life on earth came into being because of me, because phosphorus, the element at the basis of the appearance of life, was released under my action. I am your friend, the friend of your fellow men and of all plants and animals. 

I want us to be friends, to play together in your grandmother's garden. Luca was happy to have made a new friend, not knowing that lightning also causes material damage and loss of life.

They started to play together when suddenly he saw a sprinkler that his grandmother used to water the plants catch fire, the lightning                              changed its friendly look into                                          an aggressive one, it started                                              to send tongues of fire                                              towards him and Luca,                                       frightened, ran towards his                       grandmother's house.

Luca entered the house, closed the door, began to watch the lightning through the window. He didn't understand why lightning was getting so angry. He thought he was friends with lightning.Lightning said, "The world is coming to an end because of people like you!" Luca didn't understand what the lightning was saying. Then he looked at his grandmother's ignited water fountain. Gradually he understood why the lightning was getting angry. He walked out of the house cautiously and slowly. Lightning seemed to have calmed down a bit. Luca asked Lightning why he was angry. Lightning said, "This fountain is the reason why I'm angry! This fountain is constantly throwing water at the same places! That's why the water is running low!

Luca was surprised, he'd never thought like this before."Why is it that we are the only ones who use water like this, but this makes all the water decrease?" said Luca. Lightning got angry again.Lightning "I thought you were different! I thought you were conscious about protect world, but you're just like everyone else!" said. The lightning had turned around and was leaving. At that time, Luca "Wait!" he shouted.

The light man was still walking. Luca called again "Wait!" The light man stopped, looked at Luca and asked:

"What happened?''

Luca came right up to him and began to speak:

''I'm sorry for what we did, I also realised my mistake.We have wasted water by wetting the same place with that fountain.If it were not so, there would be no waste of water and we would have grown more types of plants instead of a single plant.We made you angry,too. What about helping us to protect the nature?

The light man said: ''That sounds good, I also thank you for noticing the mistake.I think that you have learned important thing from this situation and you will be more careful to avoid wasting water''.

Luca said: ''I promise not to waste water and to warn the people who do it.''This was the beginning of a good friendship between Luca and the light man.

After their friendship gotten stronger, they started to think about something to get people’s attention on wasting water topic. Light man asked, “Do you have any idea to make people to be more careful on this topic?” Luca said, “I don’t know yet but if we want their attention, we should do something intersting.” Light man thought then he got an idea. Light man, “What about preparing stage play with your classmates? Stage plays are always enjoyable to watch and get people’s atteniton quick, aren't they? Luca looked at him with shiny eyes then he started talking. “

That’s a great idea! I can ask my frinds’ help for it, if they support me we can do it! Light man smiled with happines, “Yes, I’m pretty sure it will endup good, as we work on it. Oh, and we should prepare posters to get more people’s attention.” Luca, “Alright!”
