Proper athletic stance allows for athletes to establish the proper fundamental starting position for all sports, with slight changes depending on the sport. Stance should be feet hip to shoulder width apart, with quarter squat.

Your body is your vehicle as an athlete. Taking care of your body by eating right, exercising, stretching, and making health choices overall is essential!



is for Conditioning

Conditioning, your bodies ability to go at maximum effort for an extended period of time, provides a separator for most athletes in close contests.

is for Decision Making

Our decisions as athletes in practice affect our decisions as athletes in game. Make a conscious effort to make proper decisions in practice.

is for Effort

Effort, or how hard you are willing to work, is the bare minimum as an athlete! You should give your full effort every time because you chose to be here!

is for Fair Play

Fair play is the name of the game. Follow the rules, be a great teammate, show sportsmanship to your opponent and officials. Fair is fair!

is for "Gamer"

A "gamer" is always locked in, ready to go, whether it is a practice, playing in the yard, or a real game, they are giving their all at all times.

is for Happy!

Being physically active has a direct positive correlation with ones happiness! Generally people who are active have a tendency to be happier! Be happy!

is for Individuals

Every team is made up of individuals, and learning each and every individual and who they are personally helps create the team.

is for Jumping

Jumping is essential to all athletes, especially in sports such as basketball, volleyball, football, gymnastics, and track and field.

is for Knowledge

Athletes must be knowledgeable in their sport, what their team does, what is expected of them as an athlete and person, and have a good head on their shoulders.

is for Listening

Listening ability is the most important skill for athletes! When you listen with intent, you are able to perform better in practice, and in games. Listening creates a more enjoyable time for all!

is for Motivation

We each have different, and often multiple motivating factors. Some play simply for love, others want to play college or professionally, some play in memory of someone. What is your motivation?

is for NEVER Quit

Never ever quit, never give up on yourself, never say "I can't", or it's "too hard". Never is a word that cannot be in an athletes vocabulary other than to say, "NEVER SAY NEVER!"

is for Observant

We must be observant of our surroundings at all times as an athlete, whether that be while working out, practicing, or playing. It keeps us safe and helps us get better. "Eyes like a hawk".

is for Physically Active

Being physically active is not exclusive to athletes. Being active looks like many things, from kayaking, to walking your dog, to cleaning your house. Being physically active is essential to healthy longevity in life!
