"Good morning, Jimmy!" said Mom. "Today is your first day of school!"

"School?" asked Jimmy, rubbing his eeyes. "What's that?"

"School is where you go to learn and make new friends," said Mom. "It's going to be so much fun!"

"I don't know," said Jimmy. "I'm a little scared."

"It's okay to feel scared," said Mom. "But remember, you are going to have a great day. You'll see."

Jimmy got dressed and had breakfast with his family. Then, they all walked to school together. When they arrived, Jimmy saw a big playground filled with children playing and laughing.

"Wow, that looks like so much fun!" said Jimmy.

"I know, right?" said Mom. "And you get to play with all of those kids today!"

As Jimmy walked into the classroom, Jimmy saw his teacher, Miss Sarah, who had a big smile on her face.

"Hello, Jimmy! Welcome to your first day of school! You are going to have a great day!"

Miss Sarah showed Jimmy where he would sit and gave him a tour of the classroom. Soon, it was time for the first lesson.

"Okay, class, let's all say hello!" said Miss Sarah.

"Hello!" said the class.

"Hello," said Tommy, feeling a little shy.

"Great job, Tommy!" said Miss Sarah. "Now, let's learn our ABCs!"

As the day went on, Jimmy had so much fun. He learned new things and made lots of new friends. And when it was time to go home, he couldn't wait to come back the next day.

"I had a great day at school!" said Jimmy to his mom.

"I told you it would be fun!" said Mom.

And from that day on, Jimmy loved going to school and learning new things.
