ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Samara Whiting was 9 years old when she wrote the first two books in the Daisy’s Adventures series. She has always loved cats. When she pretends to be a cat, her cat name is “Daisy,” so that was the inspiration for the series.
Samara lives on a small ranch in Colorado and has horses, chickens, dogs, and, of course, cats. In fact, she didn’t care about learning to read until she received 2 kittens, Bumble and Z. Her mom told her that she needed to read to them so that they would take their cat naps. From that day forward, she loved to read and they loved to curl up and listen.

CHAPTER ONE
Daisy is an adventurous calico kitty. She loves sleeping in the sunshine all day long. Because at night, when her family is in a deep sleep, she paws the window open and calls all her kitty friends to their secret midnight meeting spot which is the first chimney one house in front of hers. There she tells her friends what that night’s adventure is going to be.

That brings us to today. When Daisy woke up this morning, there was a crazy sound. It sounded like a meow – a familiar meow, but she just couldn’t put her paw on it. The reason she couldn’t figure it out might be the fact that she just woke up or the busy bustling of putting up Christmas decorations or the smell of omelets wafting through the air.
Whatever the reason, she just couldn’t place it. She did what any kitty would do: eat breakfast and take a mid-morning nap. This also helped her by the fact that she was sleeping on it.

When she woke up from her mid-morning nap to eat lunch, the crazy sound was still there. So she asked her kitty friends if they hadn’t seen anybody else in particular. And they all said Mango, her best friend. But she wasn’t worried because Mango was always going off on daytime adventures and never got hurt. So she thought it must be someone else. So she went home, ate lunch, took her every day walk around the house, and took her mid-day nap.
And when she woke up to eat dinner, the crazy sound was still there. She had a feeling she already knew what tonight’s adventure might be. This time she didn’t eat and go to bed. No, this time, she ate and stayed up. Once her family was finally asleep, she pawed the window open and called all her kitty friends to their secret midnight meeting place.
CHAPTER TWO
All her kitty friends were there except Mango, her calico friend. But she wasn’t worried. Mango usually wasn’t there on Wednesdays. And today was Wednesday.
Everybody already knew what tonight’s adventure was going to be. But Muffin spoke up quickly and said, “We all know that Mango usually isn’t here on Wednesdays, so we shouldn’t be worried about her.”

“I agree with Muffin,” Daisy said. “How about we take attendance?”
“Prrrrfect” they all said at the same time.
“Let’s start with Muffin.”
“I’m Muffin, a black cat with white paws.”

"I’m Lily. I'm a white cat with gray tipped ears, nose, and paws.”
“I’m Bob. I’m a grey long-haired cat. Oh – and Bob stands for BobCat – Bob is just easier to say.”
“I’m Gravy. I’m a grey tabby with white dipped paws.”

“Okay, let’s split up to cover more ground,” Daisy said. “Lily and Bob, you guys go to the park. Muffin and Gravy, you two go to the caves. And I will go to the pet shop. Now everyone – split up.”
CHAPTER THREE
Lily and Bob were walking past the lake when they heard a sound. It sounded like “Yip! Yip! Yip! Yiiiiiiip!”
They looked at the lake with a tingle of fear, when their eyes fell on a box with air holes in it. Slowly, their fear faded and Lily fell into mother-mode and charged at the box and ripped it open. Inside the box laid a tiny snow white and whimpering puppy. Lily’s heart began to melt.
