The country mouse had a nice house in a tree. The tree was in a cornfield. The country mouse ate corn every day. He ate corn for breakfast, for lunch, and for dinner.

The country was nice and quiet. All the animals played games in the field and had fun together.

The country mouse had a friend. He was the town mouse and he lived in the town. The country mouse wrote a letter to the town mouse and invited him to the country. The town mouse felt very happy when he received his friend's invitation. He packed his suitcase and went to the country to visit his friend. The country mouse was very happy to see his friend. "Welcome to the country, my friend!" he said. "You are tired and hungry. Let's have lunch!" The two friends went to the kitchen. There was corn for lunch. "I love corn!" said the country mouse. "Do you like corn?" The town mouse said, "No, I don't, but I can eat some because you can cook it for me." The town mouse ate only a little bit. He didn't like the food.

After lunch, the country mouse wanted to show the field to the town mouse. "Let's go for a walk!" he said. They went out and walked along the cornfield. The grass was long and wet. The town mouse's feet were wet. He didn't like the field.

The town mouse saw a big cow in the field and asked, "What is that?" The country mouse laughed and said, "Ha! Ha! Ha! It is only a cow! She is eating grass. Don't worry!"

After dinner, the two mice sat in the field and had a chat. "It's very quiet and dark in the country at night," said the town mouse. "The birds, the rabbits, and the farmers are all sleeping. The country is very boring." "I'm never bored here," said the country mouse. Then, he asked, "What can you do in the town?" "You can go to the cinema, you can visit museums. You can go shopping, you can eat pizza, spaghetti, and cake," answered the town mouse.

Suddenly, the town mouse said, "My dear friend, I don't like the way you live. Come to the town. Come and stay with me for a few days! We can have a lot of fun there, and I would like to show you my way of life!" "Ok," said the country mouse. "It's very exciting. I want to see the town a lot." The two friends spent all night talking. Early in the morning, the town mouse and country mouse got on a bus and went to the town together.

The town was noisy. There were a lot of cars. There were a lot of people. There were a lot of shops and cafes, and there were a lot of skyscrapers too.

 The people were shouting. The dogs were barking. The cars were beeping their horns.

The town was crowded. The town mouse was smiling. He was very happy because he liked the town. The country mouse wasn't smiling.He wasn't happy because he didn't like the town. He thought it was too noisy. Town Mouse and Country Mouse walked along the streets, and then they went to Town Mouse's house.

Town Mouse's house was very big, and it had a big garden with a lot of beautiful flowers. "Your house is very nice, Town Mouse. I'm happy you like it. Thank you for inviting me. Let's go in and have lunch!" said Country Mouse.
