Once upon a time, there were 5 duck friends, Paige, Natalie, Gina, Phoebe, and Alexa. They all went to school together.

They have been best friends for a long time. The five ducks love to have fun. They all hung out every day after school in their favorite hangout spot.
It was just another normal day in school. Laughing with friends, learning, and playing games.
When one of them realized that one friend was missing.

Today is March 13th
The little ducks began to worry. They called for their friend, but they didn't answer. The rest of school was boring without their friend. “I hope Phoebe will be back soon,” they said.

When the ducks got home they realized their friend wasn't at their hangout spot, which was weird because it was the best part of their day.
*Cough Cough* Gina started to feel under the weather so she went home.

The next day at school was really weird. Gina and Phoebe weren't at school. And many of the class classmates weren't there either.

It was Friday and the ducks went home. When they got home their parents had news for them.
“You have 2 weeks off of school from Covid.” Covid? The ducks didn't know what that was but they didn't care.

The friends thought it was the best news ever. Two weeks to play and no work! But little did they know how serious covid was.
The next morning the friends met at their hangout spot. The ducks said “2 weeks without any school, AWESOME”, and “I can't wait to play!”

They wondered what happened to their friends so they went to their house. “Knock Knock” Phoebe's mom went to the door “How may I help you,” she said. Paige, Natalie, and Alexa asked where Phoebe had been.
“Phoebe has not been feeling well. She tested positive for Covid” Oh no! The friends were shocked at the news and sad that they couldn't play anymore.
The three little ducks went over to Gina's house and once again Gina's mom came to the door. The same thing, Gina has tested positive for covid! How were the five friends supposed to hang out if they were all getting sick?
The ducks needed a plan. They thought of ways they could still be together.

Plan 1: They could all go to their handout spot and stay far apart. But theirs no fun in that!
Plan 2: Stay inside and call each other but they still couldn't play any games.

Plan 3: Hang out like usual but everyone could get sick.
None of these plans seemed to be a good idea. So the three healthy ducks went back to Paige's house. When they thought it couldn't get any worse, Paige's mom turned on the tv.

The newsman said everyone had to go into quarantine for two weeks. Quarantine means you have to stay in your house and you can't leave till it's over.
The quarantine was to keep covid from spreading.

This meant the ducks couldn't hang out, play games, or even see each other anymore.
Even though it would only last 2 weeks it felt like forever. Now what would they do?

Being stuck in the house was very hard for them. The ducks were very bored and missed their friends. There wasn't much to do without school so they needed to find something to keep them busy.

Gina tried to bake some desserts.
Phoebe practiced some new soccer tricks.

Paige learned how to juggle.
Natalie played with her cats.
And Alexa painted with watercolors.

Now these new activities were fun but they got tired of them very quickly.
They started to realize how much they enjoy going to school and being able to see their friends everyday.

The only way to communicate was through Facetime so that's what they did, every day and all night.
They would facetime while eating dinner.
