It was a sunny afternoon, when Adrian decided to go to the park with his dog, Benji.

Out of the corner of his eye, Adrian spots a green figure behind a rock. It was an action figure of his favorite superhero, Lava Green. He could not believe his eyes.

WOW! It’s Lava Green!

Adrian spent the rest of his time at the park playing with Lava Green and Benji. This was the best day EVER!

The next day at school, Adrian saw his friend John looking sad. He decided to ask him what’s wrong. 

Hey John! Is everything okay? You look a bit down.

Hey Adrian. I’m a bit sad since I lost my Lava Green action figure at the park yesterday and haven’t been able to find him.

As Adrian walked home that evening, all he could think about was that the Lava Green that he found yesterday was his friend’s, John. He couldn’t help but feel bad for not telling him that he found his Lava Green action figure.

I’m such a bad friend. I wasn’t honest with John.

When Adrian got home, he decided to tell his mother what happened with John. She gave Adrian the best advice that day.

You need to tell John the truth. He’s your friend and friends don’t lie to each other.

Thanks mom. You always know what to say.

The next day at school, Adrian decided to return Lava Green to his rightful owner, John. John was so happy he was found.

Here, John. I think this belongs to you. I found it at the park and decided to return him back to you. It’s the right thing to do.

Thanks, Adrian! You’re the best, but hold on. I have something I wanna give you for returning Lava Green.

John pulled out a Lava Green action figure from his backpack and gave to Adrian as a gift for being honest. They were both so happy to each have a Lava Green so they can play together. 

Wow! Thank you, John. Now, we can play superheroes together!

Here. My dad surprised me with a new Lava Green yesterday after school. You can keep one as a thank you for being honest.

That afternoon, Adrian and John had the best recess ever. They spent the whole time playing with their Lava Green action figures. Adrian was happy to learn that being honest is always the right choice.
