Sikhism Traditions and Culture
Parts of Sikh culture include not smoking, to cover their head in the presence of the Guru, and to take their shoes off before seeing the Guru.
Some traditions are that most Sikh people bathe daily, to meditate on God daily, and to talk to your family often.
Sikh Values
They also make honesty, compassion humility and generosity very important in their life. This helps show they are displaying the Guru at all times. They also value life, and the will to live. So anything that puts life in danger like ciggerettes, is not allowed.
Generosity is giving, Humility is thinking your less important then others. And compassion is caring for others. And honesty is not lying.
Sikh Values
Do you find some of these things important? Like if someone was honest about taking something and gave it back you would be happy, right?
