Bella loved learning about new things, especially things that she learn all about and then do herself. 

So when her class started learning about the ecosystems on earth she was excited to find out what she was going to learn from this topic.

They learned all about how the ecosystems work and how the organisms in them all rely on each other to keep working.

Bella and her friends saw how plants, bugs, mammals, and humans all worked in an ecosystem and bella got an idea that she really wanted to make happen

Since the class has been learning all about the environment, and why it’s important to help our planet, by reducing waste, Bella decided to try and find a way to do something good for the planet.

She also saw that her parents have been having a  hard time by always buying food at the grocery stores. So that was Bellas idea, she would make a garden with fruits and vegetables to see how the ecosystem worked within a small space and also get to grow her own food and help her parents save money.

So on Saturday morning Bella made a list of everything she was going to need for her garden and asked her parents to take her to the plant store.

She had to buy soil, seeds, gloves, shovels, and pots. She took that all home and her dad helped to dig up a spot for all her seeds and her and her mom planted them and watered them. 

Now all Bella had to do was keep watering them  and wait for the seeds to grow.

Bella went out everyday to check on her little ecosystem. She started to slowly see her plants grow and sprout, she often saw different bees and bugs that she recognized were pollinators, fly around. She also saw how some bugs came and ate from her plants, but she was scared when she saw spiders but realized that spiders helped with all those bugs trying to eat her plants. Bella was able to see the beginning of an ecosystem take place in her little garden.
