(Exposition)
Living in a small village was a young boy named Johnson. Johnson was happy and active as he lived his life with nothing but joy. Johnson loved to go play with his friends at the park which led him to his discovery.
Conflict Introduced
One day as he was playing at the park he realized that every one of his friends looked happy with no worry at all. He found out that each of his friends believe in certain religions and they use the ideas they learned in their lives which is why they are so happy.
Johnson did not believe in any religion which made him think about his emotions and why he is unhappy. In order to find out more about these religions, Johnson set out on a journey to find people that would teach him more about their own beliefs so that he could be better as a person.

I believe in Christianity!
I believe in Buddhism!
What does that mean?

Wow! This place is interesting!
Welcome!
(Rising Action 1) Johnson decides to follow the path out of the park and into a busy village. He finds that there is a Buddhist temple with a bunch of monks inside.
Johnson walks inside and says "Hi. I am interested in learning more about the Buddhist religion. Would you be able to show me someone who can teach me all about it?"
The monk he was talking to said back to him "Of course! We always want to teach everyone about our religion and what we believe in! Follow me!"

Here is one of our oldest monks! He knows a lot of information!
"Shao is one of our oldest monks and has a lot of facts he can share" the monk says.
Johnson replies "Ok. Thank you for your help! I'll be sure to talk to him."
Johnson walks up to the monk named Shao and introduces himself, "Hi my name is Johnson I was told you could give me information about the Buddhist religion because I wanted to learn more about it."
Shao replies "Of course I can teach you about our religion! First off, Buddhism was created over 2,500 years ago in India and as of right now of of the largest religions in the world." ("Buddhism").
Johnson sat there as listened to every word Shao said making sure to take notes so that he can remember everything later.
Shao continued on by talking more about common things they do in their religion. He then goes on to talk about The Eightfold Path which is important to the Buddhist religion.
He tells Johnson "The steps of the Noble Eightfold Path include the following eight steps: Right understanding, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness and right concentration ("Basics of Buddhism"). Each of these steps helps bring people to the right direction in their lives and helps them find peace because the steps inspire them to be a better person."
After listening to this, Johnson thanks Shao for his lesson and leaves the temple to look for other religious people to teach him about a different religion.

(Rising Action 2)
While walking along the sidewalk, Johnson sees a large white building known as a church. Johnson decides to go inside to see if anyone there would be able to tell him information about their religion.
He sees a girl that's around his age and decides to go talk to her. He says "Hi! My name is Johnson and I am going to new areas so I can find out more information about all the different religions that are in our area."
"Oh that's very interesting. My name is Sara! In this church we teach Christianity. Would you be interested in hearing about our religion?" Sara asked.
"Sure! I always want to learn more things about peoples' religions." Johnson replied.
