The Play date!

Once upon a time , in my tiny, little pink bedroom, stood a colorful dollhouse full of life. It was my favorite thing in the whole world. I could make up endless stories. My imagination was huge. I remember inviting two of my bestfriends over. We were all in love with my dollhouse. I remember that day very well. I loved playing with them.

It was summer break. I was bored and I couldn't go outside because it was like an oven out there. The sun was blinding. Whenever I stepped outside, I felt my skin burning. I asked my mom if my friends could come over. She said yes and called my friends' parents right away. A few minutes later, they arrived. One of my bestfriends, Vedika, arrived first since our houses were near each other. She was one of the sweetest people I'd ever met. Srishti arrived a little later since she lived a little further away. She was the type of person who who took things a little personal. She was one of the funniest people I'd met, though.
We went straight to my room where my dollhouse was standing beside my bed. Whenever my best friends were here, I felt happy and excited. All of us were almost always in sync. We barely ever disagreed. Whenever we played with the dolls and the dollhouse, it felt like we were in a whole other universe. It felt like taking a break from our own lives and living a differnt one. Playing with my dolls and dollhouse was boring without my friends. My room was full of happiness and laughter whenever they were here. We would make up inside jokes. Playing with dollls and dollhouses isn't the only thing we did. We gave ourselves makeovers by using my mom's eyeshadow and lipgloss. We did our hair and thought it was stylish. But now I realize how bad our hairstyles were.

Me

When we gave ourselves makeovers, I remember giving them some of my stylish skirts or shoes to wear. We would also paint our nails funky colors sometimes. We would often do side parts on our hair and it didn't look flattering at all. But we felt like we looked gorgeous and thought that there was no single person on this Earth that was more beautiful than us. I remember putting on music or a movie on my dad's laptop. It was a whole other vibe in my bedroom. The atmosphere in my room was so joyful. I felt safe and happy. We would either put on a bright pink color of lipgloss or a very red one and thought that we could pull it off. We didn't. We looked silly. We put on loads and loads of pink eyeshadow. We looked like clowns. None of us realized that at the time. When we were ready, we hung purses on the side of our shoulders and we would put on a fashion show for my mom. We tried to walk like actual models. It was hilarious.

YOU LOOK SO PRETTY!

THANK YOU! YOU TOO!
We look like runway models!!
Unfortunately, a playdate, no matter how long, always comes to an end. That was the part I hated most. My room felt boring and plain without my friends. My room felt abandoned and empty as if there was nothing but dust particles inside it. My best friends were such an important part of my childhood. When we were together, our imagination had no limit. Our endless stories and ideas were incredible. Whenever they left my house, it's as if my house had fallen asleep. I loved my friends so, so much. Whenever we got together, we were inseperable. I would do almost anything to relive those beautiful days.
