When my Mom said that we would be taking a
long road trip, she wasn't kidding! I loved my
house and all my friends, but where she goes I
go!
So we started selling everything, room by room.
I used to have a favorite spot in the house where
I could look out the window and watch squirrels
and birds. But now that room is empty.

So I moved all my toys into the den. But then all
that furniture was sold and another room was
empty.
Then I moved all my toys into the big bedroom.
And my Mom sold all that furniture and we were
sleeping on the floor. The good news was that I
could finally jump up on the bed with my short
legs!
We had to leave the house on Sunday's when
they were showing the house.

We would go for car rides, visit dog parks, take
long walks, and have lunch. I was practicing for
the long road trip to come!
When my Mom brought out all the suitcases, I
knew we would be on the road soon. So I put my
favorite toy in the suitcase, just to make sure she
remembered to pack it!

On the road!
We sold everything, packed the car and are hitting
the road! My Mom made a special seat for me in
the car so that I could see out the window
I did not know where we were going, but I knew
that my Mom would make the adventure fun for
me and not scary at all!
I met lots of friends along the way!

I met Floyd in Illinois. He was big and hairy but
real nice to me. We had a carrot hunt for Easter
while we were there.
I met the Girls in Arizona. They are the smallest
dogs I have ever met! Their names are Jalie,
Chili, and Weda. They let me play with their toys
and even took me hiking in the mountains.
I met Rocky in Georgia. I was his first dog friend
and he taught me how play hide and seek with
cookies wrapped up in a towel!

Then I met Nicky and Remi in Colorado. They are
big red dogs and they love to play! They would
sniff under my door just waiting for me to wake up
in the morning!
Then I met Buddie and Chico in Arizona. They did
not like me at first, but now we play. They are
small dogs like me. But they sure bark a lot and
get yelled at! I am trying to teach them how to be
quiet and play nice.

In Florida I saw my old friend Toby. He is a big
dog that slobbers but he is really nice and he
knows how to play with a small dog like me.
Being on the road trip was so much fun meeting
new friends and playing with old friends.
But the best part of the road trip, was all the new
adventures for me!
