Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Jade.
She was a curious girl who loved books and stories.

One day, she was looking around in her parents room and saw a magical book.
It was named "The Magical Adventure"

When Jade opened the book, she went into outer space to go back in time.

She was in a world many many years ago, a time when her great great great grandparents lived, and also when many Chinese people like herself started to move to America.
As she looked around, she saw something amazing.
It was a big railroad that was many many miles long.

Right next to her was an old man
"Who are you?" Little Jade asked.
"I'm here to help you on your magical adventure!" the old man said.
"What are all the Chinese men doing?" Little Jade asked the old man.
"They're working hard, trying to build a railroad, one that is thousands of miles long!" The old man said with excitement.

"You know, in our world today, the railroad was actually finished by those men. Many of those men even lost their lives while helping build the railroad. It's called the Transcontinental Railroad. It helped a lot of people travel from one side of the country to the other." The old man said.
"Wow!" Little Jade said.
"But, sadly, those brave men were never known as the people who built the railroad. other men were.

LEAVE!
"Why is that?" Little Jade asked the old man.
"Well, many townspeople were upset at the Chinese workers, because the Chinese workers were very good, and the townspeople were scared all the jobs would be gone by the them."
"So, a rule was made, that Chinese people weren't allowed to come into America anymore, just because they were Chinese."
"Then, the townspeople made many of the Chinese workers leave America. After they all left, the townspeople told everybody that they built the railroad."
