Chapter one
James and Jenette were one of those classic siblings. They used to harm each other every so often. When James would rip the head off of Jenette’s doll, Jenette would put James’s action figures in the oven. Their parents were overwhelmed with them and couldn't bear the messy situation of the house after their rivalry had ended.
One such day, after James had ripped the head off of yet another doll, Jenette was chasing after him. He quickly hid under his bed. The floor started to glow and before he knew it, James was plummeting to his death. Hearing his cry, Jenette came bolting to his room where she saw the empty hole. As she peered into the hole, she slipped and was cascading down herself.
Chapter two
After what seemed like an eternity, they both landed on soft, green grass. When Jenette and James had woken, two dragons were looking at them wide-eyed. The dragons told them that they were here for a reason. Before James could ask them why, the dragons propped James and Jenette onto their backs and started flying. They arrived in front of a large castle. The castle was made of pure gold with large rhinestones as the castle's towers. The dragons pushed them into the castle and locked the door. Jenette was curious so she went inside. Inside the castle was a king sitting on a throne made of the most beautiful jewels Jenette had ever seen. The king invited the siblings to a feast where he explained that they were in this world to recover a certain amulet. The amulet belonged to James and Jenette’s ancestor who once ruled the land. The amulet held great powers which could wreak havoc in the wrong hands.
Chapter three
James and Jenette were ready for their great adventure. The king had warned them of the danger which dwelled in the Gruesome Forest, but neither of them were afraid. The king had given them a map of the land with an X marking the amulet and some food for the journey. The king waved farewell as the siblings left the castle, ready to embark on their journey. Upon reaching the Gruesome Forest, James and Jenette saw an old lady who was hurt. James started talking to the woman and gave her some of their bread. The old lady slowly stood up and thanked James. She also invited him to her humble home for a treat. James happily agreed even after a stern warning from Jenette.
Chapter four
After reaching the woman’s home, she locked them both in a hutch. The siblings started arguing over who caused this dilemma. Jenette said she had warned James and James said they wouldn't be in this mess if not for Jenette. After an hour, they both decided that they couldn't get out if they kept arguing. Jenette said she had a hair clip that she could use to pick the lock. James decided he would find a way to sneak them out of the house. After Jenette picked the lock, James snuck them out of the window. But all their work had gone in vain as the witch was standing right outside. Something was gleaming on her neck. When the siblings looked closer, they realized it was an amulet. James checked his pocket to find the map missing. The witch locked them back, but this time, made sure to separate both of them.
