"In our primary school, we all try to be super nice and calm. We treat each other with kindness and make sure everyone feels safe and happy. It's like a big, cozy family where we learn and grow together!"

Goals:

Unit 1: Introduction to Peace
Defining Peace: You know, peace isn't just about not fighting. It's about making our world a place where everyone can be happy and safe. It's about treating everyone with kindness, understanding their feelings, and showing respect to them.

Interactive Questions:
Unit 2: Understanding Conflict
Unit 3: Conflict Resolution Strategies
Strategy 1: Active Listening
Active listening is when you fully focus on the person who is speaking. You show you're paying attention, maybe by nodding your head or saying "mm-hmm." After they've finished talking, you can show you've understood by repeating back what they've said in your own words.
Strategy 2: Respectful Dialogue
Respectful dialogue means talking to each other in a polite and respectful way. Even if you disagree with someone, you can still show respect by letting them speak, not raising your voice, and using kind words.
Strategy 3: Mediation
Sometimes, it's helpful to have a third person - a mediator - help solve a conflict. This person should be neutral, which means they aren't taking sides. They help by listening to both sides and guiding the conversation so everyone is heard and a solution can be found.
Strategy 4: Negotiation
Negotiation is when you discuss a problem and try to find a solution that everyone agrees on. It involves compromise, which means each person might need to give up a little of what they want in order to find a solution that works for everyone.
