In the beginning, there was the deity of all deities. She was the earth god also known as mother nature. She was a loving and kind goddess. So much so that she let the humans live on her. She also had two sons who lived among them ; Shar-pah and T-cho. She would do anything to make her people happy aswell. Any time they asked her for something, she would do it without question. One day, one of the people asked her

    "Mother please give us light. The stars aren't bright enough for us to see."

    "Yes we hurt ourselves too much and its hard to work like this." Another person yelled out.

So mother thought about it for hours. What could she do to make her people happy. Then it struck her.

    "I got it!" she exclaimed "I know what I shall do."

That night, she sat down with her son T-cho and had a talk with him.

    "My sweet child, I need you to carry on an important task. Not only for me, but for the humans." she said

"What is it mother?" he asked her.

    "Well you see," she started. "you have always been a bright child. You bring joy to everyone in the villages. But their joy is very limited you see. The stars are only so bright. The people need a light so bright that it shines even through the trees. May I bless you with the gift of illumination?"

 He was so in shock by this question he didn't know what to say.

    "Mother, I dont know how to respond" he says.

    "Its okay my sweet boy. All you have to do is say yes" she responded.

    "I would be honored!" he exclaimed

    "Well, lets get started!" she stated

Both of them were excited and they started right away. Mother blesses her son with the gift of the sun and everyone was happy; everyone except Shar-pah. He was sad that it wasn't him who was chosen. He resented everyone for this. The people on the other hand were estatic. The adults got the most work done ever and the

kids spent the day playing in the sun. But there was one small problem, They couldn't sleep at night. so they came to the mother and said

   "Mother thank you for the sun, but now it's so bright we cant sleep at night"

one said with worry.

 "Exactly mother. Now were so tired we cant get any of our work done" Another said

So mother thought and thought until she had another great idea. All it required was her son, Shar-pah. She sat him down and said

    "My beautiful son. You have always been my beautiful and gifted child. Even in darkness you shine and everyone around you can see it. you show passion and I would love to bless you with the gift of moonlight. You are a trustworthy boy and I want you to watch over the people while they sleep. Will you do that for me?" She asked

"I would love too!" he said eagerly!

So she gave him the gift and the people slept away. Everyone was happy; everyone except T-cho. He was upset that he wasn't special anymore. Every time one saw the other, each would think, "He must think he is better than me! I hate him! He thinks he's more special than me."  Their anger and hatred for each other turned into animosity. Their animosity manifested into war. They would fight in front of the humans so much even over the littlest of things. "Who would have the longest time in front of the humans?"
