There was a farmer named Juan who lived in a small village in a valley surrounded by mountains. He and his wife, Maria, worked hard in their small farm, growing crops and raising animals. Although they were poor, their life was fulfilling because they had each other and their two children, James and Ruby.

One day, while he was working in his field, Juan found a beautifully shaped gemstone. The gemstone was unique and shined bright under the sun. Juan was overjoyed when he held it, and he knew it was worth a lot of money. He had always dreamt of providing better lives for his family, buying fancy clothes, new furniture, and building a comfortable house for his wife and children. With the gemstone, he thought he could make his dream come true.

Excitedly, Juan headed to the town where he could sell the gemstone. Along the way, his mind was filled with various plans on spending the money. He could already picture the gorgeous clothes his wife and children would be wearing and the quaint wooden house he would buy for them.

However, when he reached the town,
he found out that the merchants wouldn't buy his gemstone at the price he had hoped for. Disappointed, Juan realized that he wouldn't be able to make his dream a reality- at least not with the money they offered. He had to come back home with the gemstone in his hand and nothing to give his family.

During his journey back home, Juan's mind was preoccupied with worry and anxiety. He wondered how he could disappoint his family after they had put so much hope in his trip. What he didn't know then was that there was someone in his village who could help him see things differently.

As he walked down the last stretch of the countryside road, an old man named Hady stood by the side of the road and greeted him with a smile. Hady was a wise old man, respected in the village for his wisdom. He could sense that Juan was feeling down and asked him about it. Juan spoke about his unsuccessful trip to the town and how he had let his family down.
