This book is dedicated to the families also devastated by a tradgedy like this. You are not alone.

Every day the two young siblings walked to school together. Jackson, the older brother, walked his younger sister Lyla to her elementray school everyday to make sure she arrived safely. One fine morning, as they walk along the beige and beat up sidewalk they passed a building with green bushes with tons of flowers planted.

It´s okay! I´ll be fine.
Don´t touch that cat you will get sick!

Lyla loves to stop and look at all the pretty flowers and pick a few for her teacher. Randomly, a specific stray black cat always appears from inside the bushes. Jackson doesnt like this, he doesnt want his younger sister to get sick from a stray cat so he always shoo's it away. Lyla loves the stray cat, she always ignores her brothers annoyance and gives the cat a few pets before they continue their walk down the sidewalk to school.

I don´t feel good!
"I dont feel good", Jackson heared from down the hall from his bedroom. Lyla hasnt been going to school for the past few weeks. One day, the two siblings and their parents were on the way to the hospital because Lyla was not recovering quickly and they just wanted to make sure she was okay and it wasnt anything serious. They arrived at the doctors and waited impatiently until they were called back. It is crazy how one thing can simply destroy a family´s whole world in a moment.

You´re going to be okay, Lyla.
Lyla was diagnosed with cancer. Jackson and his parents were devasted and they were all terrified about the future and what could come. The first moment after Jackson found out his sister was very sick he was very nervous but after a few minutes he thought: "The things doctors can do to help her will make her better, wont they?". After a few weeks Lyla had some days enough energy On the days she go to school and at other times, she was weak and unable to do much., Jackson was at her side the whole morning and still fufiled his duty of walking her to school.
