I started gymnastics when I was 7 years old at Alpha Gymnastics in Norman, Oklahoma.
It was love at first sight. Typically, gymnasts at my age tend to stay in recreational gymnastics, because competitive kids usually start around 2 or 3 years old. I, however, was immediately pulled to the USAG Level 4 team on my second day in the sport!

At 8 years old, during my very first gymnastics competition in Oklahoma City, I scored a Perfect 10 on the Vault and won the entire session with a 38.25 All-Around score, which is virtually unheard of for brand new gymnasts!
This competition solidified my love for the sport and winning. I knew what I was meant to do.

I decided that I wanted to open a gymnastics facility of my own, and be a high level gymnastics coach, and since then, the plan has not changed.

That's me!!
By the time I was 13 years old, I was a Level 8 gymnast. In November, 2016, my family relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina where I found my official home for gymnastics: Perfect Balance Training Center.
This gym has had the biggest impact on my life, and still continues to do so today.

I had never been apart of a program so organized, efficient, or successful before, and I knew I wanted to learn as much as I could from Hannah and Suzie (the owners).
My team went undefeated my very first season at PBTC, and I found my love for the sport again.

During my Level 9 season, I dislocated my shoulder on Bars, and it put me out for half of the season. Because of this, my coaches planned on having me repeat the level, even though I had already obtained my Level 10 skills, and started the college recruitment process.
This led me to the most heartbreaking decision of retiring from the sport. The colleges I had planned on recruiting with would not accept a 1st-year Level 10 on their team, so it would have been pointless to continue through my senior year (I retired at the end of sophomore year).

Not even 2 weeks after retiring, I was back in the gym in a new role: Recreational Coach! I knew coaching was what I wanted to do, so I took the opportunity and ran!
By the time I was 18, I started coaching in the AAU program at PBTC before leaving for college at the University of Oklahoma.

Last End-of-Season Banquet I went to after I retired! :(
After moving back to Norman, I was hired at the Alpha Gymnastics as the USAG Competitive Program Coordinator, which was a very big jump from AAU Team Coach. However, I took this opportunity as a chance at personal and professional growth, and did as much as I could to benefit the program (there was A LOT of work to do).
