This is Anara. She was a very little pig who loved to play in the mud. The puddle under her is all the mud on her. She only hangs out with her mom and that is what she likes best.

This was Anara's mom, and she was Anara's best friend. One day, Anara’s mom wanted her to make friends.

“But I’m scared!” Anara said. She didn't know how to make friends. She was as skiddish as a deer in the headlights.

“That’s ok," Anara’s mom said, “making friends takes time.” Anara's mom believed that Anara could make friends.

So Anara finally agreed and went out to look for some friends. She first found some big pigs.

“You are too small to hang out with us!” they screamed. "You belong with smaller pigs!"

Anara couldn't believe that she had tried so hard, yet they didn't want to even know her.

She decided that if they wanted to be mean to her, then she would have to move on.

This pond had a group of ducks in it. They were pretty close to her size. She thought they might want to join.

It wasn't her fault she liked the mud. She wanted to stay and try to still be friends with them. Unfortunately, she knew it was better to leave.

Then, she found some pretty kittens. She thought they would make great friends because they were her size. "Hi, guys! I'm Anara and would love to be friends with you!" They looked at her and said, “You aren’t as pretty as us kittens! You should have fur!”

Anara thought she could easily get fur. She decided to get some grass from the ground and rub it on her to give herself hair. The cats responded, “Ewww! Now you look green! We don't want you!"

She realized it was time to give up. It would just be easier to stay close to her mom.

"Who are you looking for?" asked a big voice. It was a big tan horse. Anara turned around, "Just a friend," she said, "but it's pointless."

"I would love to be your friend!" The horse said. "I was doing the same thing. By the way, name is Nay Nay!"

"I'm Anara!" she said. She was so glad to find a new friend who just wanted her for her.

"Would you like to find some friends together?" Nay Nay asked. "I'd love to! Lets go! Anara replied. They both walked over and found...
