Foods that are labeled organic must only contain organically produced ingredients that were grown without the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. For example, eggs are only organic if it comes from a chicken that is only fed food that is organic and free of by-products. Farm-raised foods, are foods that have been raised on an eco-friendly farm instead of a factory farm. Foods are labeled lite, when they have 50% less fat or 1/3 less calories than the regular product. For example, lean meats are a lite food because it contains less calories while also providing more dietary fiber. Fat-free foods must have less than 0.5 grams of total fat for a reference amount. Non-fat yogurt is considered a fat-free food because it is made with skim milk instead of whole milk.
