Today my dad is going to tell me about the earth. He is going to take me to  many places to show me and tell me things about God's creation.

So far, from looking out the windows, I know how the sky changes and how my backyard goes through the four seasons.

My mother tells me when the first day of the fall, the winter, the spring, and the summer will come. The weather would start changing around those days. 

The summer would cool, the leaves would change colors and fall to the ground, 

the birds would gather and migrate,

the winter cold would come, the snow would fall, 

the warm weather would melt it away,

 the flowers and trees would bloom, 

the animals would come back and stop hibernating,

 the sunny weather would become hot,

swimming and the beach were in, 

and the weather would cool all over again.

My dad, mom, and I packed our suitcases and headed to see my Uncle who was waiting in the van. He was taking us to the airport. My mother made sure we had the travel guide so she could tell me where we were going.

On the airplane, my mother told me we were going to different parts of the country where we would drive to see the different landscapes.

When we landed we were going to travel to different hotels.

The Meadow
The atmosphere is moist in the meadow. Certain wildflowers and certain grasses grow in the meadow. There are bugs like butterflies and bees. But also harmful insects too, like ticks. There are reptiles like snakes that can bite. Bunnies like to eat the grass and scurry along the meadow. They can also hide from other animals. Birds will fly over the meadow and at times land to search for food like insects to eat. Occasionally deer will graze.

The Prairie
The prairie is like a meadow, but the atmosphere is dry. Other animals live in the prairie. Prairies are also almost like deserts. 

The Dessert
The desert has a dry atmosphere. There are plants called cactus that store water inside to stay alive. Some cactus grow pretty flowers. There are animals like jackrabbits and coyotes. Snakes are also in the dessert. And of course, there is sand almost everywhere except the mountainous areas. 

The Plateau
Plateaus are in the desert where the earth becomes mountainous. If you climb up a slope of a mountain you could discover a flat area of rock. This is called a plateau. Ancient civilizations used to live on certain plateaus. Do people live on plateaus today?
