In a city not so far away, there lived a boy named Elijah… Hello, my name is Elijah. I live in a house with my parents and little sister, my little sister is called Ruth. The city we live in is very, very busy, that is why I like my grandparents’ farm better. I just love it when we go to visit Grandma Valeria and Grandpa Joe’s farm, my greatest wish is to go there for a week. Sadly, Ruth is afraid of farm animals, so we only go there once a year.

When it is finally the time to go to the farm, I was so excited, my family woke up at 4 a.m. and started to get ready. I packed my pjs, comic books, and my farmer clothes. By the time we were ready to go, it’s already 5 a.m., Grandma Valeria came to pick Ruth and me. In the car, we slept a little, finally, we are at the farm. 

To the Farm

When Grandpa Joe saw us, he gave us a big hug. After we went in the house, we unpacked our stuff, I have to share a room with Ruth. After that, Grandma Valeria taught us how to pick watermelons, we are making watermelon ice cream this afternoon. Ruth and I are really hungry by now, so we washed our hands and went outside to have a picnic with the ducks, it’s really fun feeding them bread. In the afternoon we made some watermelon ice cream. 

Everything seemed alright, but when we changed into our pjs and got ready for bed, Ruth kept asking me if I heard something. It is just an owl, but Ruth kept asking me, finally, I decided I can’t sleep with all her voice, so I told Ruth that it’s just an owl. But Ruth kept thinking the owl is a monster that is trying to burst into our room. Ruth asked me if I can read her a bedtime story, I don’t usually read anyone bedtime stories. But then, I remembered that when I was young, I was afraid of animals too. So, I told her a bedtime story about a princess fighting a monster, finally, she fell asleep.
