To Emma: By far, one of my favorite memories celebrating your birthday.

CRACK! GASP! Of all the cheers from Citizen's Bank Park, there was only one that mattered the most. It was my daughter cheering for her
favorite baseball player, Bryce Harper. Here is Emma's story.
This particular year was an important year. It was my TENTH birthday! I couldn't have imagined a more PERFECT day!
Hooray! It's my birthday! I woke up very excited to be in the double digits.
I can't wait to see what the day will
bring! All of a sudden, I hear...
Emma, can you come here? Dad and I
have your birthday gift.
I quickly replied, "On my way, Mom!"
Then I hurried to the family room.
"Why don't you check your iPod to see if your surprise can be
found there?" Mom suggested. As puzzled as I was, I plugged in my
passcode and opened a text message from Mom. My eyes grew
wide, I was unable to hold in my excitement!
I blurted out, "We're going to a
Phillies game!"
And what a day it was. I couldn't have imagined a better day to celebrate my tenth birthday!
"Let's make a sign to bring to the game." Mom suggested.
We brainstormed together and came up with:
"Today is my 10th birthday! Hit a home run for me Bryce!"
We are going to leave a little earlier to try to
get autographs, mom said.
Mia and I grabbed pens, index cards, and the sign.
We were ready to go!
"Thank goodness we are here! That ride felt like forever!"
We quickly got in line to enter the stadium. As we waited
patiently for the gates to open, I asked Mom "Do you
think we will be able to get close enough for autographs?"
Mom smiled and replied "We are going to try."
