
History of football
The first American football game ever played Rutgers and New Jersey (later known as Princeton) faced off in what is considered to be the first American football game ever played on Nov. 6, 1869.
The rules included each side fielding 11 men, the ball was advanced by kicking or carrying it, and tackles of the ball carrier stopped play.The only way you could pass the ball was passing it to someone behind you (no forward pass)

A hurdle in football is a move where the ballcarrier tries to jump over the person trying to tackle him. It's pretty rare and hard to do, but it makes for some cool highlights.

An interception is when a quarterback is trying to make a pass to his wide receiver, but instead, someone on the defense catches it. This is a huge play and can usually win a game for a team.
