                  PART          ONE

CHAPTER ONE

There was a rustle. The sound of rustling leaves could be heard from the small camp beyond. the camp had one inhabitant a tan white man with dark brown hair and wearing a navy blue t-shirt, tan jeans, and brown steel toed hiking boots. the camp had a tent made from a sheet. The tent had a large hole in the side of it. There was an ATV next to the tent, plastered with dirt, covered in rust, and looking like it hadn't been used in years. The man turned his head, looking at the world beyond him. he was on the lookout for rustlers. What were the rustlers? haven't you heard? Rustlers means Zombies. The Undead. It had been 40 years since the apocalypse. Then all of a sudden a hoard of rustlers raced almost violently 

The man hopped on his ATV. The vile, green, humanoid beasts with glowing blue eyes and disgustingly sharp serrated yellow teeth sped towards him. he started the engine, and the ATV drove like it was brand new, despite its outward appearance. He fled the camp without a care to retrieve his things. he knew from experience that time was valuable during these times, especially since your life was constantly on the line. he headed towards the secluded woods. The Rustlers were catching up. Two of them were slowly getting closer to the vehicle. The man pulled out a weapon in case combat was necessary. It was a weapon made out of two wrenches and a water pipe, attached by a bolt and some biodegradable duct tape. One of the rustlers latched on to the back of the ATV using its sharp claws. however, to its surprise and shock, it was clubbed on the 

with the mans weapon. Then, a second rustler used its fallen friend as a literal stepping stool to  jump onto the ATV, but it too was swiftly clubbed off of the vehicle, like a baseball bat to a softball. however, the man happened to not be looking, and ran into a large boulder, flinging him off the ATV and into a net of vines. he used a pocket knife to free himself of the vines and started running on foot. The ATV was busted and there was no way to get it fixed before the rustlers caught up. little did he know that ahead of him was a scientific research facility. He ran up to it, and the only way in was to climb over the gate and cut the barbed wire on the top with his wire cutters. he walked back a few meters, and then ran towards the gate, jumping up and catching the ledge. he then used his other arm to cut the wire. After  

Carefully moving the wire, he noticed the rustlers catching up behind. He then vaulted over the rusty steel gate just in time, causing a rustler to slam against the gate. The rustlers attempted to climb the gate using the claws, but continued to slip and failed to pierce the gate. However, the man had no time to lose. he headed toward the facility. On the outside, Windows were smashed, pieces of the brick wall were crumbled. The door to the facility was broken in half. The man, whose name was Bryson Sanders, moved the door out of the way and walked through. Inside the Building were overturned tables, shattered flasks, a smashed computer monitor, and an open fridge. Brysen checked the fridge to find nothing within, but later observed some cabinets to the left of him. One cabinet was filled with items like a First Aid kit, Hydrogen

Peroxide, And a Flashlight. All of these were valuable items, so he grabbed them out of the cabinet. Then, he heard a sound. the sound of digging. The rustlers had discovered that they could dig underneath the gate. Brysen quickly opened the other cabinets grabbing a backpack, an open bag of cheetos, freeze dried raspberries and a taser gun. he started running out the back door of the facility and towards the courtyard behind. There was a dirt bike in the courtyard along with plywood and a gas tank. He could hear the rustlers behind him. They had almost dug under the gate. he quickly filled the vehicle with gasoline and attempted to start the bike. Just then, the rustlers broke free of the gate dividing them, and raced towards him. Right then, the engine started. he quickly drove up the plywood, using it as a ramp, and vaulting over
