What is causing climate change?
The Earth’s climate has naturally changed over billions of years. Scientists agree that humans are making it happen.
People burned lots of fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas to power new factories and machines. here’s the problem – when you burn fossil fuels, it releases harmful gases into the atmosphere. This is one of the main causes of climate change.

How is climate change affecting our planet?
Climate change affects us all. As the Earth warms, we’re getting more unpredictable and extreme weather. Big storms and heavy rainfall cause flooding. Record high temperatures trigger droughts and wildfires. Melting ice caps make sea levels rise.

How to stop climate change?
>Improve farming and encourage vegan diets.
>Restore nature to absorb more carbon
CO2 CO2

>Bike more. Drive less.

>Conserve water. The less water you use, the less runoff and wastewater that eventually end up in the ocean.
>Shop wisely. Buy less plastic and bring a reusable shopping bag.

<Use long-lasting light bulbs. Energy efficient light bulbs reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Also flip the light switch off when you leave the room!
<Place the waste in the bin provided for it.

What is an example of recycling?
We can recycle paper and cardboard, plastic food containers, glass, metal packaging, cartons and food waste to protect the environment.

How will recycling help us?
Recycling helps reduce waste on the planet and therefore save money. Moreover, we will be able to create new materials that can be used appropriately from waste material. Recycled materials are also sold and used in the production of new products.

The World Health Assembly has approved a roadmap for reducing the negative environmental effects of air pollution.
One of the main sources of atmospheric air pollution is vehicles.
The writings of Matanat Samadova and her students

In order to prevent atmospheric air pollution and efficiently use natural resources, the use of technologies that improve energy efficiency, as well as alternative energy (wind, solar, biogas, biomass, geothermal, hydroelectricity) as sustainable energy sources has become widespread.

The writings of Emine KÖSE and students
Water is vital for the survival of living things. It is water that sustains all biological life and all human activities, from the smallest living organism to the largest living being. Water, which covers 70% of our world, also constitutes an important part of our body. However, approximately 0.3% of the water resources on earth are usable and drinkable.

causes epidemic diseases.
It reduces the quality in agricultural activities.
It slows down the development of animals.
It prevents the growth and development of forests and trees.

Reduce plastic use. Choose reusable cloth shopping bags instead of plastic bags.
Do not use products that cannot be lost in nature.
When throwing away containers of chemical cleaners, make sure that there are no toxic substances left in them.
Protect your vehicle against oil and antifreeze leakage.
If you have a hobby garden, use a landscape that allows water flow and avoid using pesticides.

Soil is a part of the biosphere (living sphere) that provides living space for many plants and animals, and is the living, breathing space of our planet.
The writings of Nur HAŞİMOĞLU and students
Soil pollution is the deterioration of the physical and chemical properties of the soil by solids (insoluble substances such as plastic, etc.), liquid (environmental pollutants such as waste oil), radioactive waste and other polluting elements. Negativities that occur in the soil can quickly affect living life.

With soil pollution, living microorganisms and vegetation are affected, as well as our food resources are polluted and the soil contamination causes the agricultural quality to decrease, while the soil product productivity decreases.
