Mr Rob. These Microorganisms are so small they can't do anything to benefit us.

Microorganisms do a lot for us as a society and all of the animals in ecosystems around us. Let me tell you about a day in the life of a microorganism and tell you a story so you can learn all about the things microorganisms do.

Once upon a time in an ecosystem far far away.......

Time to do my jobs of the day.

I am on Nutrient Cycling,

Decomposition,

Bioremediation,

and

Food Production.

Oh you got the hard tasks.

Alright, it's time to work on Nutrient Cycling...

I need to break down these foods so I can recycle the nutrients into the ecosystem so plants and animals can gain energy from them.

There's a dead animal in sector 7 we need a decomposition team immediately.

We need to break down this dead organism.

This will help recycle carbon, nitrogen and other key elements into this ecosystem.

Finally, that's done...

Now for the Bioredemiation job in sector 7.

Whoa, that's a lot of smoke, that's probably the pollutants I have to bioremediate. This will help this ecosystem a lot by getting rid of this pollutant.

Only some microorganisms have this ability which is probably why they chose me to do it.

Organisms play a key role in making food like bread, beer, cheese, and yogurt in a process which is somewhat like fermentation.

Well, that's all my tasks for today time to head back to HQ.

I finally understand what these organisms do for us.

They also can do some bad things.

The bad organisms have come to attack the kingdom....

Time to start our Pathogenicity project. We will put diseases into plants and animals. Our army of protozoa and viruses will officially be the leaders of the microorganisms.
