According to Nunan (1999, p.25)  "speaking requires that learners not only know how to produce specific points of language, such as grammar, pronunciation, or vocabulary, but also that they understand when, why, and in what ways to produce language"

Speaking skills allow people to communicate effectively, they give the ability to convey information verbally and in a way that the listener can understand.

Improving english Speaking skills includes expanding vocabulary, learn grammar,  take english speaking classes, read english books, etc.

Strategies

Speaking: although it sounds redundant, the best way to learn to speak English is by speaking. Therefore, you should speak English frequently, as often as possible. The more you practice, the better your pronunciation will be.

Watch movies: To learn about pronunciation, style, and also vocabulary, watching movies in English will help you assimilate the language. If you want to make this experience even more enriching, watch the movies in English with subtitles in the same language.

Read aloud: reading texts, journals, books, or your favorite websites aloud will help you detect your pronunciation errors and give you more fluency when speaking.

Prepare an outline: in speaking tests you usually have to perform a monologue about an experience, event or hobby. To prepare properly for the exam, it is best to make an outline with a structure that contains introduction, development and conclusions and practice it at home.
