The Adventure Began 

on

Here we go................

Nanny and Poppa planned a nice road trip from where 

they lived in Texas to California. 

They took their big truck and trailer house with them 

so that they could camp and sleep along the way.  

Nanny and Poppa took their three animal babies on the 

trip too.   Their names are Tiny, Maddie and Little Kitty.  

Tiny is the little brown Chihuahua, Maddie is the black 

dog and Little Kitty is the mischievous Calico cat.

Nanny, Poppa and the animals drove and 

drove and drove.

They drove past houses and they drove

over hills.

Little Kitty meowed as she looked out of the window.

Nanny, Poppa and the animals drove through the desert where 

Nanny took a picture of a big funny cactus.  

The cactus looked like it had eyes, hands and a mouth.

Little Kitty was tired and she meowed and meowed.

Nanny and Poppa found a tiny town called Oatman Arizona 

where they met two cute little burros named Sadie and Chloe.   

Poppa got to pet and hug a burro named Bob.

Nanny stood behind a sign that made her look like a silly cactus.

Nanny, Poppa and the animals drove some more until they finally 

came upon the ocean in California.

Here they parked their trailer house on the beach to camp for a 

few days.

Little Kitty sat on the back of the couch and looked out of the 

trailer window wishing she could go outside.

Every morning at the beach, big airplanes would fly 

over Nanny and Poppa's trailer house.  

The airplanes were very loud and scared Little Kitty.  

Little Kitty would run around and around inside the 

trailer and meow. 

Nanny and Poppa packed up their truck and trailer.   It 

was time to leave the beach and start driving again. 

They drove and drove and drove some more.   Little 

Kitty meowed a lot.   She wanted out.

Sometimes Nanny and Poppa had to stop to rest, get gas for the 

truck and to eat.   The animals had to eat and get a drink of water 

too.   Even Little Kitty.   She was happy when she got to eat.

Nanny and Poppa drove to Hollywood where they looked at 

many different things.   Little Kitty was not happy.   She wanted 

out to play but could not get out of the truck yet.

Nanny and Poppa went to the wax 

museum in Hollywood and took 

silly pictures with the wax figures.
