We hope it makes readers more aware of our home planet.
Our travelling recycling pet project team.

Once upon a time, there was a little and curious puppy called Rocky that lived in a very far land.
Rocky was a small dog but he had a big dream. His dream was to travel all around Europe to find out new ways to look after the
planet and come back home to share his findings
with everyone else.
One day, Rocky decided to start his adventure. So he took
his rucksack full of enthusiam and his good luck badge and
off he went.

Rocky's first destination was a little town in the south of Spain called Archena. Rocky had heard that the children from this town were specially creative in their ways to look after the environment. One sunny day, Rocky arrived at Ntra. Sra. de la Fuensanta School. There, he received a warm welcome by both students and teachers. At school, Rocky found out that they had a very interesting project to look after the planet. Children showed Rocky a recycling system they had. They had different containers for plastic, paper,
glass and organic waste. There were
children in charge of checking that
everything was recycled correctly.
Once a month, they did craft activities
with recycled materials.

Inside the school the most used containers were the yellow one for plastic and blue for paper. All the children were so happy that Rocky came to visit their school that they decided to teach him all they know about recycling while he stayed here.
Children in the first grade told him that the lunch box and the water bottle should be
recyclable material, and plastic use should be reduced as
possible. On each floor, there were a number of recycle bins
and outside the schools they had the green one for glass
and the organic one. In the beginning, Rocky always
put papers in the plastic container and
plastics in the paper bin. What a mess! But
the children always corrected him very happily.
At the end he learned to do it right. Bravo Rocky, you are so smart

Children in 2º and 3º grade recycled plastic caps, pens, markers, glue sticks, etc. They even put fruit peels in a composter,
to make fertilizar for the school orchard.
When they were at home, they helped their threw parents to put away the trash in the correct container.
One day they went to clean the environment. Oh dear! There was so much litter everywhere... But everything was clean in the end.
Rocky was very happy to see that children were
responsible and took care of the environment.

Second destination for Rocky was Turkey. Here, he traveled to the biggest and the most beautiful city, İstanbul. He realised that this city is very crowded and thought that there could be some environmental problems because of so many people.
Rocky loved to help the people and protect the environment. He was enthusiastic about recycling and keeping his planet clean.
He wondered what the children in İstanbul were doing about the planet and decided to visit a school. Soon he arrived at a lovely school called Ata Primary School.

Here, he found out that this school had also the same recycling containers which he saw in Spain and he was happy witnessing all the students could categorize the wastes and throw them into the correct containers.
Students are also a part of a project called " Our Traveling Recycling Pet" which they have different activites each week and learn more about recycling and importance of nature.
On the other hand, students were nature friendly and they planted a lot of trees in the school garden. Also, in the back yard, they had an organic garden where they could plant and eat organic fruits and vegetables.
While Rocky was leaving Turkey, his heart was filled with joy about nature.

Then, Rocky reached to Poland -
a country in the central Europe.
There, he visited a small town on the south - Toszek. There is a primary school where pupils were very excited to meet him. They had invited Rocky to join them during a school trip. They went on an organic farm where they attended in many workshops. Pupils fed animals, made jams and mermelade from fruit they had picked up first. Then, they learnt about herbs and how to use them for health. They did some tasks about recognising plants.
After coming back to school in Toszek, Rocky noticed recycled bins in

every hall and classroom. He was happy to find out that students in Poland recycle waste the same way children in Spain and Turkey did- they have the same colour bins and the same habits to put rubbish in the correct bins. What's more, the children save water and electricity - they turn the taps and light off when they leave the toilets and classrooms. They turn the whiteboards and laptops off during the breaks. They also plant fruit and veggies in school garden and use them for lunches.

Now, it was time for Rocky to go back home and tell everyone else what he had learnt. He felt a bit sad for leaving such great countries where he had learnt so much about looking after the environment but he had to finish his mission: MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE.
