How did I get here?

While exploring the woods Elias would find something that would change his life forever and for the future generations of his family.

Wow! A map, I should find the end
Then he finds a map. And because he is lost, he has nothing to lose if he were to follow it and then he looks at the map closely. He becomes intrigued and follows the map. At the back of the map, it states that the journey is always more important than the treasure.

Afterwards, he stumbles onto a house and he finds that the light is on inside so that piqued his interest. This caused him to go knocking on the door to see if he could have them help him find the X on the map.

Then when he knocks he is greeted and the family lets him inside. As he enters, he is able to see the family having dinner and welcome Elias into their house. Then they explain to him that they were praying to their god to welcome him into their spirit. Elias finds an interest in it and asks about the religion because he hasn't heard of it before.

As they started talking about Christianity the family states Christianity is the faith tradition that focuses on the figure of Jesus Christ. (Stefon) They explain that he died on the cross to save his people from their sins that they have committed. The family offers him food because Jesus gave his people food and taught them to be kind to other so they offered Elias some food then left him in his way to follow the map

As he leaves the family, he follows the map to the destination the me seeks he sees that it is getting late so he tries to pray to the God that he learned of from the family before to lead him to another house to stay the night at another house. As he prays he sees a house in the distance and prays that they would be kind enough to let him stay at their place.

As Elias was feeling helpless he found a house just as the sun was about to set. The he knocks on the door to see if there was anyone inside for him to meet. Then someone opened the door and stood a monk.

Then as Elias entered the house he asked I'd he could stay the night because I was late and he had lost track of time and could not ask the previous family because they were too far away at that time. Elias Asked the older man to see if he would get him stay inside the house.

Elias asked why he was wearing robes instead of normal clothes. The monk explains that he is Buddhist. He explains that Buddhists believe that human life is one of suffering, and that meditation, spiritual and physical labor, and good behavior are the ways to achieve enlightenment, or nirvana.(National Geographic) Elias is curious about this and ask who their god is. The monk says there are many Gods which have good and bad intentions.

Then the next morning Elias followed the map after he thanked the Buddhist monk. He then left to follow the map once more to follow through with his plan to find the X on the map and hopefully find some treasure with it. As he is walking he sees the view around him and is thankful for this experience.
